Protein & Peptide Letters publishes letters, original research papers, mini-reviews and guest edited issues in all important aspects of protein and peptide research, including structural studies, advances in recombinant expression, function, synthesis, enzymology, immunology, molecular modeling, and drug design. Manuscripts must have a significant element of novelty, timeliness and urgency that merit rapid publication. Reports of crystallization and preliminary structure determination of biologically important proteins are considered only if they include significant new approaches or deal with proteins of immediate importance, and preliminary structure determinations of biologically important proteins. Purely theoretical/review papers should provide new insight into the principles of protein/peptide structure and function. Manuscripts describing computational work should include some experimental data to provide confirmation of the results of calculations.

Biography of Ben M. Dunn
Distinguished Professor Ben M. Dunn received his Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of California at Santa Barbara in 1971 and did postdoctoral work at the National Institutes of Health from 1971-1974. He joined the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology in 1974 and moved through the ranks to his current title. He served as President of the American Peptide Society from 2011-2013 and was President of the International Proteolysis Society. He is the Editor-in-Chief of two Bentham journals, Protein and Peptide Letters, for research reports and mini-reviews, and Current Protein and Peptide Science, which publishes exclusively review papers.
