Prof. Stefano Fiorucci, is professor of Gastroenterology at University of Perugia, is the author of over 350 full papers.He is the director of gastroenterology unit of the Department of Surgical and Biomedical sciences. Dr. La Cava obtained a M.D. and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Naples, Italy. He is a recipient of prestigious Fulbright-Nehru Fellowship, USA and has been a Visiting Scientist to Weizmann Institute of Science, Israel; Osaka University, Japan; Russian Academy of Sciences, Russian Federation. He is also a Foreign Affiliate Member of the Foundation for Polish Science, Warsaw, Poland. Prof. Mishra is an editorial board member of several prestigious international journals and serves in the task force of different academic and scientific committees. Professor Nima Rezaei gained his medical degree (MD) from Tehran University of Medical Sciences and subsequently obtained an MSc in Molecular and Genetic Medicine and a PhD in Clinical Immunology and Human Genetics from the University of Sheffield, UK. He also spent a short-term fellowship of Pediatric Clinical Immunology and Bone Marrow Transplantation in the Newcastle General Hospital. Professor Rezaei is now the Full Professor of Immunology and Vice Dean of International Affairs, School of Medicine, Tehran University of Medical Sciences, and the co-founder and Deputy President of the Research Center for Immunodeficiencies. Dr. Lixin Liu had research training with Dr. Dirk Roos (CLB, The Netherlands) and completed his PhD study with Dr. Per Venge at Uppsala University (Sweden). In 2001 as a post-doctoral fellow, he joined the lab of Dr. Paul Kubes in the University of Calgary, AB, Canada. In 2006, he joined the faculty at the University of Saskatchewan (Saskatoon, SK, Canada) and currently is an associate professor in pharmacology. She graduated in Medicine in 1977 at the Rome University "Sapienza" and specialized in Pediatrics in 1980 and in Childcare in 1985. For over 25 years, she was interested in pediatric allergy and for more than 10 years she has begun her personal journey in Molecular Allergology. Extremely interested in the matter, since the beginning of 2008 she has transferred her business from one of the largest departments of pediatrics in Rome to the Molecular Allergology Center, by integrating her healthcare activity with that of research in the pediatric age, effectively complementing the activities already taking place in the center and dedicated to teenagers, adults and seniors. She has performed some fundamental studies on markers of severity of food allergy in children, mainly in cow's milk, egg, and plant food allergy. In collaboration with the other CAAM (Centri Associati Allergologia Molecolare) members and researchers from other research centers, she has identified and characterized new allergenic molecules and, thanks to microarray-based diagnostics, she has set new molecular profiles of awareness leading to innovative schemes for therapeutic intervention in the allergic child. He received training in molecular endocrinology under the mentoring of Professor Paul A. Kelly at the Necker School of Medicine, INSERM U344, in Paris. In 1998, he moved to the Laboratory of Molecular Endocrinology of the University of Santiago de Compostela, Spain, where he was a "Marie Curie" TMR30 Postdoctoral Research Fellow. In 2001, he set up his own research group at the Santiago University Clinical Hospital, Division of Rheumatology. He is currently a Staff Researcher of the Spanish National Heath System ["Carlos III” National Institute of Health and SERGAS (Servizo Galego de Saude)], at Santiago University Clinical Hospital, heading the Neuroendocrine Interactions in Rheumatology and Inflammatory Diseases (NEIRID) group of IDIS (Instituto de Investigación Sanitaria de Santiago). He worked on the regulation and signal transduction of prolactin, leptin and ghrelin under various pathophysiological conditions, in particular in immunity and inflammation. Since 2001, Dr. Gualillo’s primary research focussed on the molecular signals triggered by adipokines and on the pathways through which adipokines are involved in rheumatic diseases and in the inflammatory response of chondrocytes, synovial cells and adipocytes in particular in osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis. Dr. Marrakchi graduated (MD) from the University of Brussels (ULB-Belgium). Christina Tsitsimpikou is a Senior governmental officer in the General Chemical State Laboratory of Greece and a professor in the Post-Graduate Course of Toxicology, University of Thessaly. She has BSc in Chemistry, MScs on Pharmacognosy and Sports Medicine, phD Degree in Biotechnology and post-doctoral thesis on Bioethics. Dr. Rahul Pratap Singh earned his B. Pharm. and M. Pharm. degrees from Bundelkhand University, Jhansi, India. He has completed his Ph.D. in Pharmaceutics (cancer nanomedicines) in 2017, under the supervision of Dr. M.S. Muthu and Prof. B.L. Pandey from Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi. Dr. Abdelbaset-Ismail is currently working as associate professor at Surgery Department, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Zagazig University, Egypt. He previously worked at University of Veterinary Medicine Hannover, Germany from November 2008 till February 2011 to construct the PhD on regenerative medicine using adipose derived-MSCs. His postdoctoral studies at Stem Cell Institute, James Graham Brown Cancer Center, University of Louisville, KY, USA were mainly targeted on various experimental setups using hematopoietic stem cells, bone marrow, cord blood-derived and adipose tissue-derived MSCs, very small embryonic-like stem cells, leukemic cells, and germline-derived cells. I received my Ph.D. from University of Wyoming in Animal Science. I studied the impact of environmental agents and obesity on the intestinal inflammatory responses. My postdoctoral studies, at University of Texas Medical Branch and Health Science Center, were mainly focused on impact of various agents on immune dysregulation and cardiovascular diseases. Currently I am working on the mechanism of environmental toxicant trichloroethylene (TCE)-mediated autoimmunity in Systemic Lupus Erythematosus and autoimmune hepatitis.

Consolato M. Sergi is a Full Professor of Pathology and Pediatrics, University of Alberta, Edmonton, Canada. He was born in Rome (Italy), obtained his MD degree with honors, Pediatrics residency, and Fellowship in Pediatric Pathology at the University of Genoa, Italy, did his M.Sc. in Public Health from Austria, and FRCPC (Pathology) from the Royal College in Ottawa. Dr. Sergi’s areas of interest are congenital heart disease, metabolic diseases, gastrointestinal/biliary diseases, carcinogenesis (bone/liver), and mitochondrial DNA‐related cardiomyopathies.
