Dr. Alberto Marra obtained his Ph.D. degree (1989) in Organic Chemistry from the University Paris VI, France, working at the École Normale Supérieure. After Postdoctoral Research, Dr. Marra moved to the University of Ferrara, Italy, where he joined the group of Prof. A. Dondoni. Later on, in 1998, he was promoted to the position of Associate Professor at the same University, and in 2012, he got a permanent position as Professor at the University of Montpellier, France, working in the Institut des Biomolécules Max Mousseron (IBMM). Since the very beginning, Dr. Marra’s research interests have been centred on carbohydrate chemistry. While his recent work involves dealing with the synthesis and molecular recognition properties of glycosylated crown ethers, sugar-calixarenes, glycodendrimers, and multivalentiminosugar architectures.




Patrick Martin, Professor at the University of Artois (Béthune, France) and Director of the Artois site of the Unit Transformations et Agroressources (ULR 7519) is expert in bio-based chemistry (extraction, characterization, formulation/modification). He is specialized in the conception of bio-based products starting from biomolecules and biopolymers as raw material by chemical pathways. His current research interests are in the field; glycochemistry and lipochemistry (surfactants, liquid crystals, biocontrol, biopesticides, drug targeting), secondary metabolites (anti-oxidants, dyes) and biomaterials (plastic, concrete).




Dr. Arghya Banerjee is working as Research Associate at Department of Chemistry, Stony Brook University, USA. He received his Ph.D. degree from IIT Guwahati. His research interests are development of organic methodology especially in the fields of transition metal catalysis, C-H functionalization, organo-fluorine chemistry as well as photo redox catalysis. He is the recipient of “Seal of Excellence certificate” by European commission. He has published several international journal articles, review articles as well as book chapters. Dr. Banerjee serves as a reviewer for several International journals in chemistry.




Prof. E.S.H. El Ashry obtained a doctorate (Ph.D.) and a (D.Sc.) in Chemistry from the University of Alexandria, Egypt. He holds a Diploma in chemistry and Chemical Engineering from Tokyo Institute of Technology, Japan. Currently, Prof. El Ashry is an emeritus Professor in the Alexandria University. He worked as post doctorate and then as visiting professor at Ohio State University, Michigan Technological University, New York State University, Konstanz University, and the International Centre for Chemical and Biological sciences, Pakistan. He is Alexander von Humboldt and Fulbright Fellow. Prof. El Ashry achieved a lot of awards such as The Gold Medal Telesio-Galilei Academy of Science for the pioneering work in Chemistry, Egypt 1st Class Ribbon of Science and arts from the President of Egypt, A laureate of the first State-Excellence Prize, State national award, The 2012 Alexandria University Appreciation Award, and The Dr. Taha Hussein Award (first President of Alexandria University) for Cultural and Scientific leadership. He has published more than 400 scientific publications. Prof. El Ashry was in the Editorial board of various Bentham Journals and he is currently in the board of this journal in addition to many international journals.



Salvatore earned his doctorate at Purdue University (1997) followed by postdoctoral studies at Eli Lilly and Company. He began his independent scientific career at Florida Atlantic University (in 2000) where he rose through the ranks to Full Professor (in 2011). His current interests are in the development of new reactions especially those involving allenes to facilitate the synthesis of therapeutically important compounds and the design of ultrafast radiolabeling methods for applications in PET. Salvatore has received numerous awards and grants from the American Chemical Society, NSF, and NIH. He is also an Associate Editor for Perspectives in Medicinal Chemistry.



Dr. D'Auria obtained the Laurea on Chemistry at the University of Rome "La Sapienza". He was researcher at this University until 1992. Then he became Associate Professor and from 2001 onwards he is working as a ull professor at the University of Basilicata. He has published more than 300 articles in the field of the organic chemistry and in organic photochemistry. He is a member of the Executive Committee of the European Photochemistry Association and Editor in Chief of EPA Newletter. He is a Regional Editor of Letters in Organic Chemistry.



PGyörgy Keglevich graduated as a chemical engineer. He has been a Professor of Chemistry since 1995, and the Head of the Department of Organic Chemistry and Technology, Budapest University of Technology since 1999. He is engaged with P-heterocyclic and environmentally-friendly chemistry comprising MW chemistry, phase transfer catalysis and the development of new catalysts. He is the author or co-author of 460 papers. He holds editorial positions at the journals Curr. Green Chem., Cur. Org. Chem., Lett. Org. Chem., Curr. Org. Synth.. Lett. Drug Des. Disc. and Curr. Catal.. He is the member of the Editorial Board of Heteroatom Chem. and Phosphorus Sulfur Silicon.




Patrice VANELLE is an organic chemistry professor at the University of Aix-Marseille (AMU), Director of the "Laboratoire de Pharmaco-Chimie Radicalaire", Institut de Chimie Radicalaire (ICR) UMR CNRS 7273. Honorary Dean of the Pharmacy Faculty of Marseille, he is currently the Vice-President of AMU, Corresponding member of the National Academy of Pharmacy and President of the National Council of Universities (section 81). He has published more than 300 scientific publications. PV and his group is involved in electron transfer reactions in heterocyclic and quinonic series, synthesis and structure-activity relationships of potential pharmacologically active agents and new methodologies in organic chemistry (microwave irradiation, OED strategy,…). PV is currently Co-Editor-in-chief of Letters in Organic Chemistry (LOC) published by Bentham Science Publishers.




Mohamed Hagar studied chemistry at Alexandria University. He got his MSc under the supervision of professor El Ashry (Alexandria University) He took his doctorate at Milano University under professor Fabio Ragaini (2006-2009). He worked as associate professor of Organic Chemistry in Alexandria University (Alexandria, Egypt) and Taibah University (Madinah, Saudi Arabia). His current research interests include the preparation and structure elucidation of heterocyclic compounds for biological applications and synthesis of variety of materials used for liquid crystal applications.




Dr. Nihal Kuş's received her Ph.D. degree from Eskişehir Osmangazi University in 2007. Her research interests are related to the spectroscopic and photochemical characterization of isolated organic molecules in cryogenic inert matrices and also vibrational chemistry, conformation-dependent photochemistry, and conformational flexibility. She has been working experimentally and theoretically in this field. She worked as a post-doctoral researcher and took part in many international projects in Coimbra University - Portugal (2006-2017). Besides, she has a position as an Associate Professor at Eskisehir Technical University, Faculty of Science, in Turkey.




Dr. Manar El-Sayed Abdel-Raouf is working as Professor of polymer chemistry at Petroleum Application Department, Egyptian Petroleum Research Institute, Nasr city, Cairo. She obtained her PhD in chemistry from the Faculty of Science, Ain Shams University in the year 2000. She has numerous scientific collaborations, publications and professional organization memberships to her credit.




Prof. Ashraf M. Hassan is the head of pretreatment and finishing of cellulose based fabrics, Professor of Textile Chemistry and Technology, Textile Research Division, National research Center, Cairo, Egypt. He obtained his Ph.D. from Ain Shams University, 2003 in organic chemistry. He is working on pretreatment and finishing of cellulose based textiles, Medical textile applications, Nanotechnology; Synthesis, Characterization and Utilization of Metallic Nanoparticles and its Application as Antimicrobial finishing agent for cellulose based textiles, chemical modifications of Biopolymers, Advanced drug delivery system and Flame Proofing. He spent several periods in laboratories abroad, Germany, USA, Czech Republic and Poland.




Dr. Shaik Anwar received his Master’s (2002) in Chemistry from the University of Hyderabad, India. He worked as a medicinal chemist (2002–2003) with Aurigene Discovery Technologies, Bangalore, India. He moved to the University of Hyderabad to pursue his Ph.D. with Prof. M. Periasamy working on Amino alcohols, Amino naphthols, and Amines. He carried out his postdoctoral work with Prof. Kwunmin Chen for nearly four years (2009–2013) at NTNU working on the design and synthesis of Organocatalysts for applications in Monocyclic, Bicyclic, and Spirocyclic skeletons. Since 2013, he is working as a faculty in Chemistry Division at Vignan’s Foundation for Science, Technology and Research-VFSTR, Vadlamudi, Guntur. His research interests include Asymmetric organocatalysis, Spirocycles, and Fused heterocycle synthesis.




M.C. Aversa completed her academic career as professore ordinario of Organic Chemistry (2001-2013) at the Dipartimento di Scienze chimiche, biologiche, farmaceutiche e ambientali, Università degli Studi di Messina, Italy, and is currently retired, but continues to pursue her scientific interests regarding organic synthesis with special attention to heterocyclic/organosulfur compounds, stereochemistry, sugar conjugates. She has published more than 120 scientific articles / reviews. She is currently emeritus member of the Accademia Peloritana dei Pericolanti, Editorial Board Member of this journal, and Arkivoc member of the editorial board of referees, as well as usual referee for numerous prestigious scientific journals.



Marco Bandini got PhD in Chemistry in the 2000 from the University of Bologna (Prof. A. Umani-Ronchi). He spent research periods in USA and UK and he has been a visiting professor at CCNU Wuhan (China). In 2012, He has been appointed as associate professor at the Dept. of Chemistry “G. Ciamician” at UNIBO. He has published more than 120 scientific publications with an H-index = 39 and almost 6000 citations. His current research interests span from organometallic catalysis, metal-drugs and chiral [Ir[(III)] triplet emitters.




Martin Banwell attended the Victoria University of Wellington from where he received the PhD in 1979. After a post-doctoral year in the US, he moved to the University of Adelaide, and then to the Universities of Auckland and Melbourne before joining the Australian National University in 1995, where he has remained ever since. He is a Fellow of the Australian Academy of Science and has received various awards from the Royal Society of Chemistry (UK) and the Royal Australian Chemical Institute, the most recent being the 2014 H. G. Smith Memorial Medal.








Emeritus Professor John Bremner holds a PhD in organic chemistry from the Australian National University, Canberra. He was formerly Professor of Organic Chemistry in the School of Chemistry, University of Wollongong, Wollongong, Australia. His research interests cover heterocyclic and medicinal chemistry, including the design and development of new anti-bacterial agents. He has over 220 scientific publications, and is on the Editorial Board of a number of journals.




Dr Kaushik Chanda obtained his PhD in Applied Chemistry from National Chiao Tung University, Taiwan. He is working as a Senior Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemistry, Vellore Institute of Technology Vellore, India. He has published more than 50 international peer-reviewed journal articles, 6 review articles, four book chapters, and one US patent, two Indian patents along with one book to his credit. His research interests include the diversity-oriented organic synthesis, anticancer drug design, drug delivery and Nanocatalysis.




José A. S. Cavaleiro got his BSc degree from the University of Coimbra, Portugal and his PhD degree from the Robert Robinson Laboratories (supervision of Profs. George W. Kenner and Kevin M. Smith), University of Liverpool, UK. His academic career as a staff member started at Coimbra University and later continued at Lourenço Marques (Mozambique) and Aveiro (Portugal) Universities. Since 1986, he is a professor of Chemistry at the Aveiro University. José A. S. Cavaleiro is the recipient of several prizes (e.g., Parke-Davis prize, Liverpool University, 1973; “Ferreira da Silva” prize, Portuguese Chemical Society, 2004; Spanish-Portuguese prize, Royal Spanish Chemical Society, 2010). His research interests are centered on the synthesis, reactivity and applications (medicinal, catalytic and others) of porphyrins and related compounds. He is the author of 502 scientific publications in major journals of organic chemistry.




Janine Cossy did her undergraduate and graduate studies at the University of Champagne-Ardenne, working on photochemistry under the supervision of Pr. Jean Pierre Pète. After a postdoctoral stay with Pr. Barry M. Trost, for two years at the University of Wisconsin (USA), she returned to Reims where she became, the Director of Research at the CNRS in 1990. In the same year, she moved to Paris and, since 1990, she is a Professor of Organic Chemistry at the ESPCI Paris. Janine Cossy's research interests focus on the synthesis of natural products and biologically active molecules and on the development of synthetic methods (organometallic reactions, catalysis, ring expansions, opening of strained rings, methods for the synthesis of heterocyclic compounds, stereoselective reactions).. Her research efforts have resulted in more than 470 publications and 15 patents. Among the awards, she received the CNRS Bronze Medal (1987), the CNRS Silver Medal (1996), UK Royal Society Rosalyn Franklin International Lecturership awarded to internationally recognized women scientists (UK) (2005), Le Bel Award from the French Chemical Society (France) (2009). In 2013, she was nominated Chevalier de la Légion d’Honneur and in 2015, she obtained the E. C. Taylor Senior Award (USA) and the UR Ghatak endowment award (IACS, India). She is an associate editor of Organic Letters since 2005.








Mauricio F. Erben received the PhD degree in chemistry in 2005 from the National University of La Plata (UNLP), Argentina. Since 2009, he works as a regular professor of Inorganic Chemistry and since 2018 he is “Principal Research” of the Argentinean Council for Science and Technology, CONICET. His main lines of research are the determination of physical chemistry properties, molecular and electronic structure of novel inorganic species, especially sulfur-containing molecules. In 2012 he was selected as an Affiliated Member of the TWAS. He was elected as the Dean of the Faculty of Exact Sciences UNLP for the period 2018-2022.




Professor El Mokhtar ESSASSI received his PhD (Doctorat ès sciences physiques) in 1977 from the University of Sciences and Techniques of Languedoc (Montpellier, France) under the supervision of Professor Philippe VIALLEFONT. He joined in 1977 as Maître de Conférences the Faculty of Science of Mohammed V University in Rabat and named as a full Professor in 1981 at the same University. He founded in 1981 the Heterocyclic Organic Chemistry Laboratory and the Moroccan Group of Heterocyclic Chemistry in 1999. He is the investigator of the organization of the National meetings of Heterocycilc Chemistry (1993, 1996, 1998, 2000, 2002, 2007, 2009, 2011). He is the national coordinator for competence pole Pharmacochemistry created in 2002. He is currently a member of TRAMECH (Trans Mediterranean Colloquiun on Heterocyclic Chemistry) scientific committee representing Morocco. He was the chairman of TRAMECH III (Marrakech, 2004 and TRAMECH VII, (Rabat, 2013). Professor ESSASSI is a resident member of HASSAN II Academy of Sciences and Techniques since 2006.



Professor Victor Francisco Ferreira obtained his BS and MSc at Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro under the guidance of Professor Antonio Ventura Pinto. He then moved in 1980 to the research group of Professor Ernest Wenkert at the University of California San Diego and obtained his PhD. In 1984 he was appointed as researcher fellow at National Institute of Technology and 1990 moved to Universidade Federal Fluminense as Associate Professor and started his own research group. In 1992, he became full professor at same university. In 2007, he became the member of Brazilian Academy of Science and in 2008 and 2014, Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry. He was president of the Brazilian Chemistry Society between 2012-2014. His research interests include synthesis using readily available carbohydrate, heterocycles and naphthoquinones for the synthesis of bioactive compounds for neglected diseases and development of synthetic methods using diazocompounds




B.A.M. Figadère is the director of research at CNRS and at University of Paris-Sud (France). He obtained a PhD from University of Pierre and Marie Curie (Paris, France) in 1987. After a two years’ post-doctoral position at University of California at Riverside (Prof W. Okamura, USA), he joined the CNRS at the Faculty of Pharmacy of Univ. Paris-Sud, where he is currently head of the BioCIS laboratory, a public laboratory administered by the CNRS and Univ. Paris-Sud. He has published more than 150 scientific papers, and 10 patents in the field of natural products chemistry (isolation, total synthesis and pharmacomodulation).



Prof. Gabriele received the PhD in Chemical Sciences from the University of Calabria (Italy). After a research position at the University of Parma (Italy) with Professor Gian Paolo Chiusoli, he joined Prof. Ronald Breslow’s group at Columbia University (New York, USA) as a post-doc fellow for one year. He then came back to the University of Calabria, where he was promoted to Full Professor in 2006. He is author of more than 140 peer-reviewed papers in international journals and 15 patents. His research interests include the development of novel catalytic methods for the production of high value added molecules under sustainable conditions and the development of novel synthetic processes for carbon oxide reutilization.




Dr. S. Giofrè in 2005 graduated cum laude in “Chemical and Pharmaceutical Technology” from at the University of Messina. In 2009, he obtained the PhD qualification in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the same University. From 2012 to the present, he is an Assistant Professor of Organic Chemistry at the University of Messina.








Hongchao Guo received his Ph. D. degree from China Agricultural University (P. R. China) in 2002, followed by several years of research at Shanghai Institute of Organic Chemistry, Max-Planck-Institut für Kohlenforschung (Muelheim), University of California at Los Angeles and University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. In 2010, he joined China Agricultural University as an associate Professor, and then was promoted as Professor in 2011. His research focuses on Lewis base and acid-catalyzed cycloaddition and annulation reactions and their application in the organic synthesis.



Dr. László Hegedűs received his BSc, MSc and PhD in Chemical Engineering from Technical University of Budapest (BME) in 1991, 1993 and 1997, respectively. Since 2017, he is an Associate Professor at the Department of Organic Chemistry and Technology, Faculty of Chemical Technology and Biotechnology (FCTB), Budapest University of Technology and Economics (BME). His research interests are focused on heterogeneous catalysis (liquid-phase hydrogenations, preparation and characterisation of supported precious metal or skeleton catalysts, chemo- and stereoselective reactions) and synthetic chemistry (synthesis of pharmaceutical intermediates). He has published 56 papers and has involved in 22 patents. Dr. Hegedűs has numerous honors and awards to his credit.




Xiang-Ping Hu received his Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2003. After a postdoctoral stay at University of Edinburgh, he came back to Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics in 2006, where he was promoted to Full Professor in 2013. He has published more than 100 peer-reviewed articles in the field of asymmetric catalysis. His current research activities focus on asymmetric catalysis, special interest in the development of novel chiral ligands for copper-catalyzed asymmetric propargylic transformation and cycloaddition.



Kazuaki Ishihara is a Professor in Graduate School of Engineering, Nagoya University, Japan. He received his Doctorate of Engineering degree from Nagoya University in 1991 with Professor Hisashi Yamamoto. After completing his postdoctoral fellowship from the Harvard University with Professor E. J. Corey, he moved back to Japan in 1992 and worked his way up from Assistant Professor (1992–1997) to Associate Professor (1997–2002) at Nagoya University. Professor Ishihara has received numerous awards and honors for his work. His most recent awards include: the SIS Award 2015 from the Society of Iodine Science (SIS), and the Synthetic Organic Chemistry Award 2016 from the Society of Synthetic Organic Chemistry, Japan (SSOCJ). Professor Ishihara has served on numerous editorial advisory boards, including: “Letters in Organic Chemistry,” “European Journal of Organic Chemistry,” “Asian Journal of Organic Chemistry,” and “Topics in Current Chemistry.” His principle areas of research have evolved over time from the design of Diels-Alder catalysts to the design of superacids to design of recoverable and reusable catalysts to the design of supramolecular acid-base combined catalysts. His current research is in developing catalytic, organic reactions and processes directed toward green chemistry.





Dr. Hadi Kargar got his PhD in Chemistry in 2007 at the Isfahan University, Iran, under the supervision of Prof. V. Mirkhani and Prof. S. Tangestaninejad in the field of Inorganic chemistry. Now, he is working as Associate Prof. of Inorganic Chemistry at the Department of Chemical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Ardakan University, Iran. He is interested in research area of Homogeneous and Heterogeneous catalyst, Biomimetic oxidation, Synthesis of Schiff bases and their complexes, Metalloporphyrins and Synthesis of organic compounds.






Dr. Rangappa Keri obtained his PhD degree (2010) at Karnatak University, Dharwad, India. Following the completion of his Ph.D. studies, he spent four and half year years as BK21 and FCT postdoctoral fellow at the Kyung Hee University, college of pharmacy and IST Portugal, Currently, he is Associate Professor, Centre for Nano and Material Sciences at Jain University, Bengaluru. His current research effort focuses on development of metal, organo and metaloorgano-catalyzed enantioselective methods for the synthesis of heterocyclic scaffolds and the development of novel multi-targeted drugs against anti-tubercular and anti-neurodegenerative drugs by synthetic approaches and natural plant extraction. He has published more than 70 scientific publications. He is editorial board member of several international journals.




He works as a Professor and Chairman, the Department of Computer Sciences, Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan. My research interest is the modeling and simulation using differential equations, fuzzy logic, Petri net and Z. He has some research articles in reputed journals listed in JCR and he is supervising 6 students of MPhil and 2 of PhD. Besides, he is the chairman of the Virtual Foundation for Advancement of Science and Technology (http://vfast.org/), editor in chief of VAWKUM transactions on Computer Sciences (http://vfast.org/index.php/VTCS) and editor of Applied Mathematics and Information Sciences. Currently, he is the conference chair of “International Conference on Computational and Social Sciences (ICCSS-2013)” (http://iccss13.vfast.org/).




Prof. Dr. Sher Bahadar Khan did his Ph.D from HEJ, Karachi University, Pakistan. After completion of Ph.D, He started his post-doctoral career in Nanochemistry and Nanotechnology and continued to work as a post-doctoral research fellow at Yonsei University, South Korea. Then, he joined the Chemistry Department, King Abdulaziz University, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia as an Assistant Professor and currently he is full Professor in the Chemistry Department, King Abdulaziz University and is doing research in Nanochemistry and Organic Chemistry which comprises catalysis, hydrogen production, drug delivery, solar cell, development of active photo-catalyst and fabrication of perceptive bio-sensor and chemi-sensor using metal oxide nanomaterials and their green environmental nanohybrids. He is the author of 334 research articles, twelve books, and six patents with more than 1000 impact factor, 7305 citations and 47 h-index.




Vladimir V. Kouznetsov received his Ph.D. (1986) and D.Sc. (1994) degrees in Chemistry from Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia (Moscow) under guidance of Prof. Nicolay S. Prostakov. He spent postdoctoral fellowship (1990–1992) with Prof. José M. Barluenga in the University of Oviedo (Spain). From 1994, he is Professor in the Industrial University of Santander (Bucaramanga, Colombia). He has published more than 240 peer-reviewed publications (h = 22, 2.260 citations) including 5 patents, 3 books, and 7 book chapters. In 2016, he became Regional Editor (Region: South America) of Current Organic Synthesis. He is also editorial board member of Current Organic Synthesis (2003) and Mini-Reviews in Organic Chemistry (2016). He was principal tutor of 40 graduated and 30 under graduated students, both in Russia and Colombia. He received various awards in Pharmacology, Oncology and Phyto-pharmaceutical science. In 2012, he received National Science Award, Colombian Association for the Advancement of Science. He is Corresponding Member of the Colombian Academy of Exact, Physical and Natural Sciences from 2014. His current research activities focus on heterocyclic diversity-oriented synthesis, green synthetic methodologies, interface between chemistry and biology.




Mikhail Krasavin is a Professor of synthetic organic and medicinal chemistry at Saint Petersburg State University (Russia). Prior to assuming this post in 2014, he spent over 10 years in positions of increasing responsibility in pharmaceutical industry (Millennium Pharmaceuticals, Abbott Bioresearch Center, ChemDiv, Inc.) , where he was involved in multiple drug discovery programs in the areas of oncology, metabolic disease, infectious disease and CNS disorders. In 2011-2013 Dr. Krasavin led an independent research group at Eskitis Institute for Drug Discovery (Griffith University) in Braisbane, Australia. Prof. Krasavin has authored more than 100 manuscripts, 8 patents, several book chapters and has consulted various drug discovery and development business entities. In 2016, he was elected a Professor of the Russian Academy of Sciences.









Professor Dehai Li received his Bachelor degree from Shandong University in 2002, and obtained his PhD in 2007 at Ocean University of China where his research focused on Marine Natural products Chemistry. After then, he carried out his postdoctoral research with Professor Raymond J Andersen at the University of British Columbia from 2007 to 2009. He joined School of Medicine and Pharmacy, Ocean University of China in 2009 as an associate professor. From 2014, he was promoted to be a full professor. During 2014-2015, he went to Professor Yi Tang’s lab of University of California, Los angles as a visiting scientist. His research interests are focused on the bioactive metabolites from marine derived microorganisms. In the past 15 years, over 5000 strains of marine-derived microorganisms have been obtained and over 800 new compounds have been discovered by his group. Until now, he has published over 130 papers and been authorized for 8 patents.







Dr. Liu obtained a doctorate (Ph.D.) degree in Chemistry from Nankai University. Currently Dr. Liu is an Associate Professor at the Zhejiang University of Technology, College of Chemical Engineering and a Visiting Scientist of US Department of Agriculture, Natural Products Utilization Research Unit. His research interests are synthesis of novel bioactive heterocycles. He has published more than 100 scientific papers and is a named inventor of more than 40 authorized CN patents. His H-index is 30, number of citation in WoS is over 2400. He is currently the Regional Editor of Letters in Drug Design & Discovery, Editorial board of Heteroatom Chemistry, Asian Journal of Chemistry and Youth editorial board of Chinese Chemical Letters.



Frederick Luzzio graduated (BSc) from Vanderbilt University in 1976 where he majored in chemistry and biology. He worked as a development chemist at Arthur D. Little, Inc. in Cambridge, Massachusetts until entering the graduate program at Tufts University where he earned his MSc and PhD degrees in organic chemistry under the mentorship of Frank S. Guziec, Jr. After finishing graduate study, he spent three years in the laboratories of E. J. Corey as a post-doctoral fellow, followed by two years in the Biomedical Products Department of DuPont. Since 1988 he has been serving in the faculty of the University of Louisville as professor. His research interests are in the areas of organic synthesis, natural products and medicinal chemistry.



Prof. Menteşe is a Professor in the Department of Chemistry at Recep Tayyip Erdogan University, Turkey. He focused on design and synthesis of nitrogen containing heterocyclic compounds as potent bioactive molecules by using microwave irradiation, ultrasonic and conventional technique. He has authored and co-authored over 100 journals and conference papers, and three books in the last decade.







Peter E. Nielsen is a full professor at the University of Copenhagen, Denmark since 1995. He is one of the inventors of peptide nucleic acid (PNA) (1991), and has further studied and developed this DNA mimic during the last 25 years in relation to chemistry, origin of life, molecular biology and drug discovery. He is the co-author of more than 400 scientific papers, reviews and books. He is a member of EMBO and the Danish Academy of Technical Sciences, and he has received several national and international scientific prizes including the Novo Nordic Foundation and the Lundbeck prizes.



Yoshiaki Nishibayashi received his Ph.D. in 1995 from Kyoto University under the supervision of Professor Sakae Uemura. He became an assistant professor at the University of Tokyo in 1995 and moved to Kyoto University in 2000. In 2005, he became an associate professor at the University of Tokyo as PI. Since 2016, he has been a full professor at the University of Tokyo. He received the Chemical Society of Japan Award for Distinguished Young Chemists in 2001, the JSPS Prize in 2012, the Green & Sustainable Chemistry Honorable Award in 2012, and the SSOCJ Company Award for Novel Reaction & Method in 2015. His current research interests are focused on organic and organometallic chemistry.










Dr. D. M. Pore is a Professor in Organic Chemistry at Department of Chemistry, Shivaji University, Kolhapur, India from where he has completed his master degree by securing 1st rank in Chemistry in the year 1998 and pursued his doctoral degree in the year, 2004. He was a recipient of prestigious BOYSCAST Fellowship in 2010 sponsored by Department of Science and Technology [DST], Government of India. In 2016 he has been selected as Fellow of Maharashtra Academy of Sciences, India. His research interests focus on the Development of Novel methodologies for multi-component reactions, Coupling chemistry, Click chemistry, Synthesis of bioactive heterocycles, Designing and synthesis of novel Task specific ionic liquids, Heterogeneous Catalysis, Green Chemistry. He has published numerous research articles in renowned international journals.



Dr Vijai K. Rai is Assistant Professor (Organic chemistry) in the Department of Chemistry, Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya (a Central University), Bilaspur, C.G., India. He obtained his M. Sc. from DDU Gorakhpur University and D. Phil. (2006) from University of Allahabad, U.P., India. He has been recipient of many awards/honors, a few viz., D. S. Bhakuni Award (2007) of Indian Chemical Society and Golden Jubilee Award (2008) of National Academy of Science of India (NASI). He started his independent research career at SMVD University, J&K, India, in 2009. He has supervised two Ph. D. students and completed three major research projects one each from UGC, CSIR and DST. His current research area includes development of new and efficient catalytic systems for organic transformations, such as C-H activation, synthesis of aziridines and other heterocycles using green chemistry protocols. Also, he is working in development of nanocomposite- based heterogenous catalysis for visible-light induced organic transformations. He has published more than 70 research publications.






Dr. Basappa, born in 1976, did his M.Sc. (Organic Chemistry, 1999) and Ph.D (Chemistry, 2005) from University of Mysore. He did postdoctoral research at Kobe Pharmaceutical University, JSPS fellow at Hokkaido University, Japan and has also worked as a Postdoctoral Associate at SMART, Singapore. He was a Pavate Fellow (2013) at University of Cambridge, UK. He is currently working as Chairman, Department of studies in Organic Chemistry, University of Mysore, Mysore, INDIA. Dr. Basappa has published 106 research papers. Till date, his research contributions have earned him over 1750 scientific citations and i10 index of 55 and h-index of 25.




Dr. Shahab is currently working at the Department of Biochemistry and Biophysics, International Sakharov Environmental University. He has research experience in Organic Chemistry, Theoretical Chemistry, and Medicinal Chemistry. His current projects are: 1) Theoretical investigation on the novel oxadiazole and azomethine derivatives, 2) Development of Polarizer Films for UV, Visible and IR regions of the Spectrum and 3) Antitumor and Antioxidant Properties of New Organic Compounds.





Dr. Bapurao B. Shingate has been working as an Assistant Professor in Department of Chemistry, Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Aurangabad, since 2008. He has worked as a research scholar at CSIR-National Chemical Laboratory, Pune under the supervision of Dr. B. G. Hazra, and earned Ph. D degree in 2010 from University of Pune. He has significantly contributed through his Ph. D. work to steroid chemistry, particularly natural products synthesis. Dr. Shingate has focused on alternative, novel and new cost effective methodologies for value added organic transformations. His current research contribution in the area of medicinal chemistry using rational drug design approach is gaining recognition. His research group has synthesized a library of biodynamic heterocycles and thus obtained new antitubercular and antifungal agents. So far he has published 110 papers in the journals of international repute. His publications are cited over 2658 times with an average citation of 25/paper showing an H-index of 29 and i-10 index 76. Under his supervision, 05 students are awarded Ph.D degree and 04 students are pursuing for their Ph.D degree. He has worked as a Visiting Researcher with Professor Larry Overman, University of California, Irvine, USA under Indo-US Research Fellowship (2014). He is an editor/Associate editor/ Member of Editorial board for various reputed journals. The outstanding and creditable contribution made by him is a Review article published in the prestigious journal, “Chemical Reviews.” Due to his scientific and academic contributions, he becomes a recipient of the prestigious IUSSTF Fellow (2013), Ideal Teacher Award (2014), Best Research Professor Award (2017), Bentham Ambassador (2018) and ISCB-Best Teacher Award (2018) in Chemical Sciences.



Dr. Ana M. G. Silva completed her PhD degree in Chemistry from the University of Aveiro in 2002. After her PhD, she worked as a Post-doc Fellow of FCT in the same University. Since 2007, she holds a researcher position at REQUIMTE, University of Porto. Dr. Silva’s research interests mainly focused on the synthesis of libraries of strong emitting fluorophores (rhodamines and fluoresceins) and metal chelating ligands (3-hydroxy-4-pyridinones, catechols and pyridyl units).




Dr. Ranvijay Partap Sing is an Assistant Professor of Chemistry at the Faculty of Engineering & Technology, Lucknow University new campus India. He received his Master of Science in Chemistry from Lucknow University, India and further he has been awarded a degree of PhD in Chemistry at Lucknow University. He cracked one time CSIR-UGC-NET and two times CSIR-JRF exam organized by CSIR, New Delhi, India. His research interests cover the area of Medicinal Chemistry, Synthetic Organic Chemistry, reaction Mechanism, Spectroscopic analysis, Chromatographic techniques and Computational study. He has contributed several papers in international/national reputed journal and conferences/seminars.




Dr. Kenso Soai obtained a doctorate (Ph.D.) in chemistry with Professor Teruaki Mukaiyama from University of Tokyo, Japan. He was a postdoctoral associate with Professor Ernest Eliel at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He joined as the faculty member in the Department of Applied Chemistry, Tokyo University of Science. He has been a Professor since 1991. His research includes asymmetric autocatalysis, origin of homochirality, asymmetric catalysis. He has been awarded Chirality Medal, Chemical Society of Japan Award, Medal with Purple Ribbon, Synthetic Organic Chemistry Award, Science and Technology Prize by the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology.


Vivek Srivastava obtained PhD (Chemistry) from University of Rennes-1, Rennes, France in 2009. He received M.Sc. (Chemistry) from H.N.B. Garahwal University, Srinagar, Uttaranchal in 2003 and B.Sc. (Medical) from H.N.B. Garahwal University, Srinagar, Uttaranchal in 2001. He has published 4 book chapters and more than 30 articles in well-reputed journals. Besides, he is the Editorial Board Member of Journal of Catalysis, Hindawi Publication Corporation, Indian Journal of Materials Sciences, Hindawi Publication Corporation, Letters in Organic Chemistry, and Journal of Chemistry.




Dr. Pawan Tambade pursued Bachelor of Science, Master of Science (Organic Chemistry) at Department of Chemistry, Shri Shivaji College, Akola, Maharashtra. After receiving Masters degree, he began his doctorate under the mentorship of Prof. Bhalchandra M. Bhanage at the Department of Chemistry, Institute of Chemical Technology, Mumbai. During this tenure, he received a Fellowship from Technical Education Quality Improvement Programme (TEQIP), and Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), New Delhi. His doctoral work focused on development of transition metal catalysts for carbonylation reactions. After his doctoral work, he was employed as a Senior Research Scientist at TATA groups-Advinus Therapeutics Ltd., Bangalore (18 months). During this tenure he was engaged in the development of new drugs for neglected diseases and other custom synthetic products. His expertise lies in the design and development of catalysts for various coupling reactions, development of non-infringing synthetic routes for drugs and drug intermediates, synthesis of biologically active drug molecules, process optimization, cost reduction, and resolution of chiral isomers. He has authored 48 publications and has received various fellowships, presentation prizes and travel grants. He received DST (Department of Science & Technology)-DFG (German Research) Award for participation in the 59 th Meeting of Nobel Laureates & Students in Lindau, Germany as a young researcher during, June-July 2009. Since March 2012, he has been appointed as Assistant Professor in Chemistry at Maratha Vidya Prasarak Samaj's Institute Nashik. His current research interests include design and development of catalysts, Multi Component Reactions (MCR’s), synthetic routes and strategies for the synthesis of biological active compounds, synthesis of Nano-particles and their applications. He is recognized as PhD supervisor by Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune.




Dr. Vinod K. Tiwari is associated with Banaras Hindu University since 2005 as Assistant Professor of Organic Chemistry. He obtained his MSc from BHU (in 1998) and PhD from CDRI-JNU (in 2004) followed by postdoctoral research experience from the University of Florida (with Prof. Alan R Katritzky, 2005), University of California-Davis (with Prof. Xi Chen, 2007) and Universitat Konstanz, Germany (with Prof. Richard R Schmidt, 2009). He was offered a lecturership at Bundelkhand University (2004-2005) before being appointed in BHU, India (2005-continued) where he started his independent research career. His current research focuses on Synthetic Carbohydrate Chemistry and Novel synthetic methodology. With more than 17 years of research and twelve years of teaching experience, Dr. Tiwari completed nine PhD thesis, five major projects and significantly contributed 121 peer reviewed publications (h-index: 27, citation: 2580) including 8 Patents and 12 invited Book chapters of high repute. He delivered numerous invited lectures (over 75) at different institutes in India and abroad and holds editorial board member of four international journals as well Joint Secretary, Association of Carbohydrate Chemist & Technologist of India (ACCTI). His research has been recognized through many prestigious awards/honors and medals by different academic/scientific societies.





Lucia Veltri received her Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Calabria in 2000. From 2003 to 2006, she was a research fellow in the same University. In 2007, she became Assistant Professor of Organic Chemistry at the University of Calabria. In 2015, she won a research funding for the "International Mobility" which she spent at the University of Greenwich (research group Prof. Dobbs) for 6 months. Her research activities concern synthesis of new organic compounds by homogeneous catalysis. Her scientific production includes: 43 peer- reviewed papers in international journals, 3 patents and more than 50 Communications at conferences.











Dr. Dewu Zhang is currently a Professor at the Institute of Medicinal Biotechnology, Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences and Peking Union Medical College, Beijing, China. He obtained his Ph.D. from Peking Union Medical College in 2013. His research interests focus on natural product chemistry, which involves the discovery of secondary metabolites/chemical constituents from microorganisms and plants. He has published more than 50 scientific publications.




Fatemeh Abyar Firouzabadi got her BSc degree from the Yazd University and her M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees from the Isfahan University of Technology, Isfahan, Iran (April 2015). Since 2015, her academic career as a staff member started at Ardakan University. she is an assistant professor of Physical Chemistry at Ardakan University. She is the recipient of several prizes and she also completed short time research in Elettra synchrotron, gas phase beamline, 2018, Elettra, Italy. Her research interests are centered on the Catalytic processes (Experimentally and Theoretically; modeling), Photo catalysis and Advanced Oxidative Degradation, Bioinformatics, Laser Spectroscopy, TOF mass Spectroscopy, Experimental and Theoretical Photoelectron Spectroscopy, Molecular Docking, DNA interaction, Computational Chemistry, Chemistry Spectroscopy and Application, and Biochemistry. She is the author of many scientific publications in major journals of chemistry.




Dr Mohammad Arshad received his B.Sc. (Hons) Chemistry, M.Sc Chemistry from Aligarh Muslim University, India and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) on the thesis entitled “Novel heterocyclic compounds as potential therapeutic agents: Synthesis and The characterization” from Medicinal Chemistry Research Laboratory, CIRBSc, JMI, New Delhi, India. He has more than five years of postdoctoral experience of teaching as well as research and has published more than thirty research articles in valued journals. He is serving as an advisory board member, reviewer and active member of many scientific societies. Currently, he is working at Shaqra University, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, where he is dealing with the design, synthesis, characterization, biological, and molecular docking studies.



Dr Vasu Dhananjayan received his PhD in Organic Chemistry from National Tsing Hua University, Taiwan in 2011. He did his postdoctoral studies from several leading institutes like the University of Oxford, Kyoto University and KAIST. He currently serves as a postdoctoral researcher at Northwestern University, USA in the field of central nervous system disorders under the supervision of Prof. Richard B. Silverman. He has received several awards and fellowships during his research career. In particular, the award GATE, CSIR-NET from India and JSPS, Marie-Curie fellowships from Japan and the European Commission (UK). His research interest covers the areas of Synthetic Organic Chemistry, Organometallic Chemistry, Functionalization of Carbon-Hydrogen and Carbon-Sulfur Bonds, Asymmetric Catalysis, Cascade Reactions, Organic Methodology, Total Synthesis, Alkaloids and Natural Product Synthesis.





Mosadegh Keshavarz is an associate Professor of Organic Chemistry in the Department of Applied Chemistry at Yasouj University where he has been a faculty member since 2013. He is the Head of Chemistry and polymer engineering groups. He completed his Ph.D. at Shahid chamran University. His research interests lie in the area of Click Chemistry, Green Chemistry and Heterogenization of homogeneous catalysts.



Dr. Muhammad Khalid got his PhD in Chemistry in 2015 from the University of Sao Paulo, Brazil, under the supervision of Prof. Wilhelm J. Baader in the field of physical chemistry. Moreover, he did post-doctoral research in the field of computational chemistry from the Universities of Sao Paulo (Brazil) under the supervision of Prof. Ataualpa Albert Carmo Braga. Currently, he is working as assistant professor in the field of physical chemistry at the Department of Chemistry, Khwaja Fareed University of Engineering and Information Technology, Raheem Yar Khan, Pakistan. He is interested in research area of computational studies like DFT/TD-DFT.



Dr. Biswajit Panda is an Assistant Professor of Chemistry, City College, Kolkata-700009, at the University of Calcutta. He received his Ph.D degree from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur (IITKGP), India. He was a postdoctoral fellow at the National Taiwan University (NTU), Taipei, Taiwan. He has been teaching organic chemistry for post-graduate, graduate and undergraduate students for many years. His research interests are development of organic methodology in the fields of organic synthesis and transition metal catalysis. He is the inventor of Sonogashira Coupling of arene diazonium salts. He is the recipient of Best Cited Author Award from Tetrahedron Letter. He is the recipient of “Bharat Gaurav Award” from India International Friendship Society. He has published several research contributions to international journals, proceedings, books, book chapters, and international conferences. He is a reviewer and editorial board member in several international journals in chemistry.
