The Smart Materials section of the journal Current Chinese Science publishes original research articles, letters, reviews/mini-reviews and guest edited thematic issues on various topics related to smart materials.
This section is not limited to a specific aspect of the field but is instead devoted to a wide range of sub fields in the area. Articles of a multidisciplinary nature are particularly welcome. Submissions in the following smart materials areas are of special interest to the readers of this journal:

Dr. Yong-Lai Zhang received his BSc (2004) and PhD (2009) from Jilin University,
China. He joined Jilin University in 2010 and is currently a full professor in the State
Key Laboratory of Integrated Optoelectronics, College of Electronic Science and
Engineering, Jilin University. In 2011, he was awarded a “Hong Kong Scholar”
postdoctoral fellow. His research interests include smart materials and devices, laser
fabrication of graphene-based microdevices, biomimetic surfaces and Lab-on-a-Chip
systems.
张永来教授毕业于吉林大学,获无机化学博士学位,2010年在吉林大学电子科
学与工程学院任教,2015年被评为教授。2011年入选首届“香江学者”计划
,2015年获得国家优秀青年基金资助,研究领域为智能材料与器件,具体包括

Doctor Yinshun Wang is a Professor in the School of Electrical and Electronic
Engineering- North China Electric Power University. He obtained Ph.D from the Institute
of
Electrical Engineering, Chinese Academy of Sciences in the field of applied
superconductivity in electrical engineering. He was a Postdoc at the
MAYO Foundation and MIT, USA. He became a visiting scientist in FZK, Germany. Then he
became a professor at the Institute of Electrical Engineering, Chinese Academy of
Sciences. Now, from January 2008, he became a full time professor of North China
Electric Power University. He is a Member of IEC/TC-90. In the last 5 years, he has
published 50 articles and applied 20 patents, and has published three books.
His research interest is in applied superconductivity in power systems, such as HTS
cable, transformer, fault current limiter, magnet, cryogenic insulation, HTS
characteristics, etc.
