The Cybernetics section of the journal Current Chinese Science publishes original research articles, letters, case reports, reviews/mini-reviews and guest edited thematic issues on various topics related to cybernetics.
This section is not limited to a specific aspect of the field but is instead devoted to a wide range of sub fields in the area. Articles of a multidisciplinary nature are particularly welcome. Submissions in the following cybernetics areas are of special interest to the readers of this journal:

discrete-event systems. He is the author of more than 200 refereed publications and
supervised 40 PhD theses. He received the Outstanding Paper Award at IEEE-SMC 1995 and

Dr.Yung Ting is the Associate Professor of Mechanical Engineering in Chung Yuan Christian
University(CYCU), Taoyuan City, Taiwan. After receiving his B.S. degree in 1983 from
CYCU, he worked with the CSIST until 1987. He then completed his M.S. degree from
University of Virginia in 1989 and Ph.D. degree from University of Texas at Austin in
1993, both in the Department of Mechanical Engineering. He has worked in the industry
for almost two years. He joined CYCU in 1996 and since then has been working there as
