Dr. Mallikarjuna N. Nadagouda received his Ph.D. from India in 2003. After obtaining his Ph.D., he worked for General Electric (GE) in Bangalore, India for two years before moving on to work with the late Professor Alan G. MacDiarmid at the University of Texas at Dallas. Dr. Nadagouda went on to become an Oak Ridge Institute of Science and Education (ORISE) postdoctoral fellow at the United State Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA), National Risk Management Research Laboratory (NRMRL), and subsequently achieved his current position as a Physical Scientist at NRMRL in Cincinnati, Ohio. He is also an adjunct professor at Wright State University, Dayton, OH. He has worked in the areas of nanomaterials and nanotechnology, analytical chemistry, green chemistry, polymer blends, solid coatings, solid state chemistry and drug delivery. He has received several Scientific and Technological Achievement Awards (STAA) from the EPA, including the National Risk Management Research Laboratory Goal 1 Award. He is recipient of “Chemist of the Year” award” from ACS. He is a member of the editorial advisory board of several international journals, has published ~ 250 papers in reviewed journals with a citation index ~13025 (H index 53), and holds several patents.

Hassan Karimi-Maleh received his BSc degree in Chemistry from the Islamic Azad University, 2003 and then his MSc degree from the Mazandaran University, Iran in 2006. He received his PhD degree in Analytical Chemistry from the Isfahan University of Technology, Isfahan, Iran in 2011. Then, he joined the Department of Chemistry at Graduate University of Advanced Technology, Kerman, Iran in 2012. He has published more than 150 research papers, many reviews and has more than 5463 citations with an h-index of 40. His research interest includes development and synthesis of new nanomaterials for application in electrochemical biosensors and drug delivery systems.

He was the recipient of the Young Research Awards of Ministry of Science and Technology, Taiwan and the Outstanding Research Award of Ministry of Science and Technology, the Excellent Research Professor Award of the CSME in recognition of his outstanding research work in the area of nanotechnology, and the Outstanding Young Scientists Award of Mechanics Society.

Dr. Du conducts research in nanotechnology, particularly development of small-scale devices, materials and analytical systems for biomedical diagnosis, drug delivery and energy and environmental applications. Alysia Cox is a postdoctoral Researcher with a strong background in nanomedicine, pharmacology and neurodegenerative disorders. She completed her PhD in Translational and Molecular Medicine from the University of Milano-Bicocca. She went on to complete postdocs in Cedars Sinai Medical Center and the University of Southern California, where she is currently working on nanoparticle-based gene therapy delivery for autosomal dominant polycystic kidney disease (ADPKD). She is the recipient of the PKD Foundation Postdoctoral Fellowship 2021-2023, to work on nanoparticle-mediated mRNA delivery to treat ADPKD.

Lavinia BALAN obtained the PhD degree from the University Henry Poincaré in Nancy, France, in 2005. Her PhD was devoted to the elaboration of an original material for the anode of Li-ion batteries. After a post doctorate in Orleans and then in Mulhouse, she joined the Department of Photochemistry of Mulhouse in 2006 as a CNRS Senior Researcher. She opened a new field of research in this laboratory, viz. the photo-assisted synthesis of metal nanoparticles and metal-polymer nanocomposite. Since December 2009, L. He has been a professor of nanoelectronics, nanophotonics and nanomagnetism at NTNU in Trondheim. There he has led a group of researchers in the field of nanopartners together with Professor Bjørn-Ove Fimland. Dr. S. Harikrishnan received his B.E. in Electrical & Electronics Engineering from University of Madras, in 2002; M.E. in 2007 and Ph.D in 2015 in Mechanical Engineering from Anna University. He is the Professor & Head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Adhi College of Engineering & Technology, Chennai, India. He is an active researcher in the fields of phase change materials, nanofluids and supercapacitor. He has published more than 62 papers in reputed journals including Elsevier, Springer, IEEE, IOP and Taylor & Francis in conference proceedings. He has served as panel session chair, reviewers and Guest Editors for international conference proceedings.
