摘要

慢性炎症与各种炎症因子的长期增加有关。根据临床数据,它可能与同一患者的癌症和自身免疫性疾病有关。这就提出了一个关键的问题:慢性炎症是如何与看似相反的疾病联系在一起的——肿瘤存在免疫抑制,而自身免疫性疾病存在免疫系统的过度激活。在这篇综述中,我们认为慢性炎症是免疫抑制和自身免疫损伤可能性增加的先决条件。我们还讨论了针对慢性炎症的潜在疾病修饰疗法,这对癌症和自身免疫都有帮助。一方面,促炎因子持续存在于慢性炎症部位,通过负反馈循环刺激抗炎因子的产生,引起免疫抑制。另一方面,慢性炎症可以使基线免疫更接近触发自身免疫反应所需的阈值水平,使用旁观者激活免疫细胞。关注慢性炎症在癌症和自身免疫性疾病中的作用,可能会为慢性炎症的药物发现开辟更广阔的前景。
