摘要

神经退行性疾病是全世界老年人中最常见的威胁生命的疾病之一,其特征是脑和脊髓中的神经元死亡。一些研究已经证明了膳食脂肪酸在不同脑部疾病中的有益作用。这是由于它们的神经营养、抗氧化和抗炎特性。此外,大量证据表明,某些膳食脂肪酸摄入不平衡会增加患神经精神疾病的风险。一些关于芥酸的研究已经完成,这是一种在洛伦佐油中发现的可食用的-9脂肪酸。芥酸以前被认为是一种天然毒素,因为它对心肌功能和肝脏脂肪变性有负面影响,但研究发现,亚洲国家经常食用芥菜和菜籽油等十字花科蔬菜,没有证据表明芥酸对心脏有害。芥酸也可以转化为神经酸,神经酸是髓磷脂的关键成分。因此,芥酸可能具有脱髓鞘作用,这可能对治疗不同的脱髓鞘疾病至关重要。此外,芥酸具有抗氧化和抗炎作用,提示其可能在不同的神经退行性疾病的治疗作用。考虑到该化合物的丰富效果,本文综述了芥酸作为治疗和管理不同神经退行性疾病的药理药物的可能作用。
