Abstract: Due to their difficulty in pathogenesis, nervous system disease (NSD) therapies have long
been challenging problems for researchers. With the rise in the ageing population, the quest for successful
NSD therapies has become a hot topic. Polysaccharides demonstrated numerous biological
effects in anti-oxidation, anti-inflammation, and immune regulation. In recent years, several studies
have been conducted in light of the connection between the properties of polysaccharides and the
pathogenesis of neurological conditions. In this review, we aim to discuss the most recent reports on
the beneficial properties and mechanisms of polysaccharides for nervous system-related diseases.
