This journal is devoted to full-length/ mini reviews and original articles of experimental and clinical studies in the field of endocrine, metabolic, and immune disorders. Specific emphasis is placed on humoral and cellular targets for natural, synthetic, and genetically engineered drugs that enhance or impair endocrine, metabolic, and immune parameters and functions. Moreover, the topics related to the effects of food components and/or nutraceuticals on the endocrine-metabolic-immune axis and on microbioma composition are welcome.

Emilio Jirillo is full professor of Immunology at University of Bari Medical School (Bari, Italy) since 1986.His current fields of interest are: mucosal immunity, microbial immunity and immunonutrition. Especially in this last field, he has recently published in vitro and in vivo studies on the anti-inflammatory effects of polyphenols. He is author of more than 560 papers (326 scientific papers are listed in PUBMED), even including books and chapters of books. He is also editor-in-chief- of another Bentham journal: Clinical Immunology Endocrine Metabolic Drugs.
