Professor and Advisor in the Program in Food Engineering of the State University of Maringá (PEG) - Master's level and on the Program of Milk and Dairy Products Science and Technology of UNOPAR – Master’s Level. Graduated in Food Engineering, specialized in Process and Quality Control of Meat, Milk and Eggs and in Fruit and Vegetable Technology, Master and Doctor in Food Science. I have 63 published papers, 31 chapters of books and 219 abstracts in events.

A.M. Shohael Jahangirnagar University Dhaka Bangladesh Biography Biography of A.M. Shohael
Dr. Shohael completed his Ph.D. in Agricultural Biotechnology from Chungbuk National University,
South Korea. After that, he joined the International Rice Research Institute (IRRI) The Philippines
as a research collaborator to work on the oversee of aquaporin functions of drought-tolerant
mechanisms in rice. During his role as a research associate at the University of Florida, the USA, he gained experience in plant
tissue culture, commercial production of plant cells through bioreactor culture for the metabolic
interest and development of genetically modified plants. He has published articles in many
international journals and books (total citation 828, h-index 15, i10-index 16; RG score 20.49).
His research interests include; identify novel genes from the local biodiversity, conservation of the
biodiversity, genome engineering, and genome editing approach to develop environmentally
resilient plants, metabolomics, and metabolic engineering, public awareness, and motivation
towards the new technologies.
