Micronutrients are required in minor quantities by the human body, but are
important components of human diet. The most important groups of micronutrients
include vitamins, minerals, and water. Adequate intake of these micronutrients has been
associated with a good diet and good health. Analysis of the use of these micronutrients
as part of the diet and the application of the concepts learned in chapter five will be
presented and discussed in this chapter.
