Medullary thyroid carcinoma is a tumor of the parafollicular C cells
which accounts approximately 3% of thyroid cancer. It may occur as sporadic form
or hereditary cancer both alone or associated with syndromes. In this chapter,
epidemiology, genetic, diagnosis and treatment of medullary thyroid cancer will be
discussed.
