Jean-Marc SABATIER is director of research at the CNRS, with PhD and HDR degrees in Biochemistry and Microbiology, respectively. He headed several research teams, as well as an academic-industry laboratory. He was director or consultant for several companies. He contributed to several books in toxinology and virology, and about 160 articles, 180 communications, and 53 patents in biology and chemistry. He is an editorial board member of 54 journals. He acts as an expert for some international institutions, and is a member of a dozen scientific societies. He won a ‘Citizen of the Year Award’ for his work on antivirals.
