Prof. Bin Wu obtained his Ph.D. in the field of organic chemistry in 2007 at the Department of Chemistry, Zhejiang University and pursued research at the Pharmaceutical College in the field of Medicinal Chemistry as a Post-doc research fellow. In 2015, he was promoted as full professor at the Ocean College of Zhejiang University and is engaged in various fields related to the discovery of new marine natural products, evaluation of microbial diversity of unique marine habitats to the development of new ways of culture and molecular methods to access cryptic natural product biosynthetic pathways, development of new approaches to purify and characterize polysaccharides, characterization of toxins to the research of metallomics.
