Aims & Scope
Sustainability and Disaster Risk Management is a peer-reviewed journal with a focus on all areas of environmental sustainability, disaster risk reduction and management, decision and policy making and management. The journal publishes original research, review articles, and guest edited thematic issues. The journal aims to bring key stakeholders in managing the environment and disasters from academia, government, and industry to share their knowledge and views on how to build a resilient society through publishing of high quality research that will have both decision making and policy implications. It aims to publish articles that deal with both natural and man-made disasters that ultimately affect the environment and our quality of life.

Prof. Christian N Madu is the Editor-in-Chief and founder of the journal Sustainability and Disaster Risk Management (SDRM). He is The Shell Professor of Environmental Management & Control, University of Nigeria (UNN) and Director of the UNN Shell Center of Environmental Management & Control. He is also Professor of Management Science at Pace University of New York. Prof. Madu is the author of 14 books and more than 120 journal publications. He served for 20 years as the Editor of Scopus-indexed journal, International Journal of Quality & Reliability Management. He has consulted widely for organizations in the USA and Nigeria.
