“Journal of Photocatalysis” would publish high quality research papers, reviews, and short communications focused on photocatalysis from many different scientific areas including Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Materials Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Nanotechnology and Green Chemistry.
“Journal of Photocatalysis” would accept novel papers in the following fields:
Preparation and characterization of new photocatalysts.
Photocatalytic elimination of environmental pollutants in liquid or gas phase.
Photocatalytic syntheses of valuable products.
Photocatalytic hydrogen generation and CO2 reduction.
Kinetics and mechanistic aspects of photocatalytic reactions.
Combination of photocatalysis with other technologies, such as membrane technologies and photoelectrocatalysis.
Engineering aspects of photocatalytic processes.
Theory, modelling and computational aspects regarding the mechanisms of activation of photocatalysis.
Leonardo Palmisano University of Palermo Palermo Italy
Leonardo Palmisano (1950) obtained his degree in Chemistry cum Laude in 1973 at the University of Palermo. He is Full Professor of Chemistry at the University of Palermo, Dipartimento di Ingegneria, from 01/11/2000. The scientific activity has been mainly focused in the field of heterogeneous photocatalysis, such as preparation, characterization with many bulk and surface techniques, and testing of various types of bare and doped polycrystalline photocatalysts. He has collaborated with many scientists all over the world producing many joint papers in international journals (about 300) and books, 5 patents. Citations 15759, h index 65 (Scopus). He is member of Editorial boards of Eur. J. Inorg. Chem., Curr. Org. Chem., Int. J. Photoenerg., and J. Membrane Sci. Technol.
