Sing Kiong Nguang

Brief Biography: Professor Nguang received his BE (with first class honours) and PhD degree from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering of the University of Newcastle, Australia, in 1992 and 1995, respectively. He has published 6 books and over 300 refereed journal and conference papers on nonlinear control system and networked control systems. He has served on the editorial board of a number of international journals. He is the Chief-Editor of the International Journal of Sensors, Wireless Communications and Control.

Dan Huang (Biography
Dan Huang

Dan Huang received the B.E. from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Shanghai, China, in 2002, and the M.E. (with first class honors) and the Ph.D. degree from The University of Auckland, Auckland, New Zealand, in 2004 and 2008, respectively. He was a Lecturer at the University of Auckland in 2009. He has been with Shanghai Jiao Tong University since 2010. Currently, he is an Associate Professor at the Department of Automation, Shanghai Jiao Tong University. In 2011, he was a visiting professor at Sloan School of Management, MIT.

His current research interests include nonlinear modeling and analysis, fuzzy logic control, networked control systems, and human factor modelling. Dr. Dan Huang has published one monograph with Springer. He has published extensively at leading journals and flagship conferences. He is the founding and Co-Editor-in-Chief of this journal, published by Bentham Science Publishers.

Dr. Chong Lin obtained the Ph.D in electrical and electronic engineering from the Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, in 1999. From 2000 to 2006, he was a Research Fellow with the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, National University of Singapore. He also took short visits in the University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong, and the Brunel University, U.K. Since 2006, he has been a Professor with the Institute of Complexity Science, Qingdao University, China. Kami Makki

Dr. S. Kami Makki is currently a professor of Computer Science. He also worked in public and private industries for a number of years. Dr. Makki is an active researcher in the fields of mobile and wireless computing, security, data warehousing and mining. He has published four books, ten book chapters and over hundred publications in peer-reviewed journals and international conferences. Currently he serves as Editor-in-Chief, Associate Editor-in-Chief and Editorial Board Member for several prestigious International Journals. Dr. Makki has also served as a Technical Program Co-Chair and Technical Program Vice-Chair for National Science Foundation Workshop on an Infrastructure for Mobile and Wireless Systems 2001, as well as Vice Conference-Chair, Registration Chair, Publication Co-Chair, Conference Operation Co-Chair and Technical Program Committee (TPC) for numerous conferences sponsored and supported by IEEE, ACM, and Springer member and reviewer for a number of IEEE, ACM and NSF. Jiwei Wen (Biography
Jiwei Wen

Jiwei Wen received his Ph.D. degree in Control Science and Control Engineering from Jiangnan University, Wuxi, China, in 2011. Currently, he is an associate professor of School of Internet of Things Engineering, Jiangnan University, Wuxi, China. His research interests include stochastic switched system, networked control systems, model predictive control and T-S fuzzy modeling and control. He serves as an associate editor of the International Journal of Sensors, Wireless Communications and Control.

Nasimuddin (Biography

Nasimuddin received his B.Sc. degree in 1994 from Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi, India, and his M.Tech. (Microwave electronics) and Ph.D. degrees in 1998 and 2004, respectively, from the University of Delhi, India. Currently, he is a scientist at the Department of Internet of Things Connectivity, Institute for Infocomm Research, Singapore. He has published 128 journal and conference technical papers on microstrip-based microwave components. His research interests include multilayered microstrip-based structures, millimeter-wave antennas, radio-frequency identification reader antennas, Global Positioning System/Global Navigation Satellite System, ultra-wide-band antennas, metamaterials-based microstrip antennas, satellite antennas, circularly polarized microstrip antennas, and small antennas for TV white space communications. He is a Senior Member of the IEEE and the IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society. He was awarded a senior research fellowship from the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research, Government of India in Engineering Science (2001–2003); a Discovery Projects fellowship from the Australian Research Council (2004–2006); and the Young Scientist Award from the International Union of Radio Science (2005).

Hak-Keung Lam

Dr H. K. Lam is currently a Reader at King’s College London, United Kingdom. His current research interests include intelligent control and computational intelligence. He has served as committee member for many international conferences and associated editor for a number of international journals. He has authored/co-authored over 250 publications. Brief Biography: Fei Liu received the PhD degree in Control Science and Engineering from Zhejiang University, China. Dr. Liu is a Professor of the Institute of Automation, Jiangnan University,China. He is also the dean of school of Internet of Things Engineering, and the director of Key Laboratory of Advanced Process Control for Light Industry(Ministry of Education), Jiangnan University, China. He has published more than 120 scientific publications. His research interests include advanced control, distributed control system and cyber physical system.

Y. Shi

Yan Shi received the BSc degree in Applied Mathematics from Northeast Heavy Machinery Institute (now Yanshan University), China, 1982; the MSc degree in Applied Mathematics from Dalian Maritime University, China, 1988; the PhD degree in Information and Computer Sciences, from Osaka Electro-Communication University, Japan, 1997.

Dr. Shi is currently a professor at the Graduate School of Science and Technology, Tokai University, Japan. His research interests include approximate reasoning, fuzzy reasoning, fuzzy system modelling and applications, neuro-fuzzy learning algorithms for system identification. He has published over 200 papers in journals and conferences. He has actively served in a number of journals. He is the Executive Editor of International Journal of Innovative Computing, Information and Control; and Editor-in-Chief of ICIC Express Letters. He is a member, the board of directors of Biomedical Fuzzy Systems Association, and the board of trustees of Japan Society for Fuzzy Theory and Intelligent Informatics.

Y.-W. Leung

Dr Yiu-Wing Leung received his B.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees from the Chinese University of Hong Kong in 1989 and 1992 respectively. He has been working in the Department of Computer Science of the Hong Kong Baptist University and now he is a full professor. His current research interests include three major areas: 1) networking, 2) Internet and cloud computing, and 3) systems engineering and optimization. He has published more than 80 journal papers in these areas, and most of which were published in various IEEE transactions/journals.

S. He

Dr. He was born in 1983. He obtained the BEng and Ph.D from Key Laboratory of Advanced Process Control for Light Industry (Ministry of Education), Institute of Automation, Jiangnan University, China. From 2011 to 2013, he was successively a Lecturer in Anhui University. Currently Dr. He is a Professor in the School of Electrical Engineering and Automation, Anhui University, Hefei, China. From 2010 to 2011, he was a Visiting Scholar with the Control Systems Centre, School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, The University of Manchester, UK. He has published one book and more than 60 scientific publications and 2 named inventor of China patents. His current research focuses on control theory and applications, includes robust control of stochastic systems, nonlinear and optimal control of nonlinear systems and complex system modeling, control, filtering, fault detection and their applications. Q. Li

Prof. Qiusheng Li obtained his PhD and the best PhD thesis award (Professor K.H. Hunt medal) from Monash University, Australia. His main research interests and technical expertise are in wind engineering, structural dynamics, earthquake engineering, computational mechanics. His research in these fields has resulted in over 270 refereed international journal papers. Prof. Li is one of the most cited researchers in civil engineering according to Global Ranking of Academic Subjects 2016 by Elsevier. Prof. Li has received several awards for his academic contributions including National Natural Science Foundation of Chinese Outstanding Oversea Scientist Award in 2004 and The First Class Award of the Scientific and Technological Progress from the Ministry of Education of China in 2010. He was appointed as Cheung Kong Chair Professor by the State Education Ministry of China in 2007. In particular, Prof. Li is the recipient of the 2016 Jack E. Cermak Medal from the American Society of Civil Engineers, the highest honor in wind engineering, in recognition of 'his many contributions to wind engineering that range from fundamental to applied research'. Prof. Li has been a principal investigator for 71 research grants with a total funding over HK$40 million since 1998.

Y. Xiao (Biography
Y. Xiao

Dr. Yang Xiao currently is a Professor of Department of Computer Science at the University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa, AL, USA. His current research interests include networking and computer/network security. He has published over 200 journal papers and over 200 conference papers. Dr. Xiao was a Voting Member of IEEE 802.11 Working Group from 2001 to 2004, involving IEEE 802.11 (WIFI) standardization work. He is a Fellow of IET. He currently serves as Editor-in-Chief for International Journal of Security and Networks, International Journal of Sensor Networks, and Journal of Communications.
