M. Ghosh

Dr. Ghosh received her PhD from the University of Pittsburgh, School of Public Health in Infectious Diseases and Microbiology. Following her PhD, she pursued post-doctoral training at the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth in the area of HIV acquisition and transmission in women. Currently Dr. Ghosh is an Assistant Professor at the George Washington University, Milken Institute School of Public Health. Her research interests are focused on HIV in women, specifically innate immune responses in the female reproductive tract and its regulation by sex hormones. Her current projects include working with adolescent girls, postmenopausal women and women who have experienced sexual violence and trauma.

C.A. Liverani

Dr. Liverani is Chief of Preventive Gynecologic Oncology Unit at the Foundation IRCCS, Policlinico Hospital, University of Milan (Italy). He is also Chief of the “Reference Centre for the Prevention, Diagnosis and Treatment of HPV related Genital Pathology”. He has more than 30 years of experience in lower genital tract pathology. He is a teacher at the School of Specialization in Obstetrics and Gynecology and at the School of Medicine and Surgery, University of Milan. In the last fifteen years he has been an invited and a keynote speaker in more than 100 national courses and international meetings, and is consultant of the regional Workgroup for the guidelines and the diagnostic and therapeutic algorithms in gynecology, supporting the General Health Administration.

A. Glasier

Anna Glasier trained in obstetrics and gynaecology in Edinburgh. She was a clinical scientist in the MRC Unit of Reproductive Biology then Director of Family Planning & Well Woman Services for Lothian from 1990 until 2010.

She is an honorary professor at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and the University of Edinburgh. Her research has been in reproductive health, particularly in contraceptive development and the delivery of contraceptive services. She is a world expert on emergency contraception. She works with a number of international organisations including the Population Council and the World Health Organisation.

Y. Osuga

Yutaka Osuga is a professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology, the University of Tokyo. He is a leading physician scientist in Obstetrics and Gynecology in Japan. He received his MD in 1985 and PhD in 1995 from the Graduate School of Medicine, the University of Tokyo, Japan. He completed his residency training of obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Tokyo. He is board certified by Japan Society of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Japan Society of Gynecologic and Obstetric Endoscopy and Minimally Invasive Therapy, Japan Society for Reproductive Medicine, and Japanese Society of Anti-Aging Medicine. He has been the Professor of Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, the University of Tokyo since 2013.

I. Schiff

Dr. Schiff is a graduate of McGill Medical School and did his Residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology as well as a Fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology at the Boston Hospital for Women [now Brigham and Women’s Hospital]. He was Director of the Division of Reproductive Endocrinology before moving over to the Massachusetts General Hospital to become Chief of the Vincent Obstetrics and Gynecology Service. He is currently the Joe Vincent Meigs Distinguished Professor of Gynecology at Harvard Medical School and the Emeritus Chief of the Vincent Obstetrics and Gynecology Service.

Dr. Schiff is one of the founding trustees of the North American Menopause Society and has served as Editor-in-Chief of its journal Menopause since its inception.

R.E. Garfield

Dr. Garfield is Professor of Obstetrics at the Women and Children’s Hospital and Medical Center in Guangzhou, China. He has published over 500 articles on reproduction and women’s health and holds about 60 on patents on medical instruments and treatment of female disorders. Dr. Garfield was trained in medicine and received a PhD in pharmacology from the University of Alberta, Canada and did extensive postgraduate studies at the University of Pennsylvania and the University of Paris, France. His expertise is in uterine and cervical physiology, preterm birth and the endocrinology of pregnancy.

Florian Kronenberg, MD is specialized in Medical Genetics and is a Full Professor heading the Division of Genetic Epidemiology at the Medical University of Innsbruck. After his training in Medical Genetics at Gerd Utermann's laboratory at the University of Innsbruck, Florian Kronenberg worked with Roger R. Williams and Steve Hunt at the Department of Cardiovascular Genetics at the University of Utah, USA. Later, he was the head of the Research Unit "Genetic Epidemiology" at the Institute of Epidemiology, at the Helmholtz Center Munich (former GSF). In 2004, he became full professor and head of the Division of Genetic Epidemiology at the Innsbruck Medical University.

Rafael Mikolajczyk, MD MSc, is full professor of epidemiology and biometrics and director of the Institute for Medical Epidemiology, Biometrics and Informatics (IMEBI) at the Martin-Luther-University Halle-Wittenberg. After graduating from medical school and three years of clinical work in obstetrics-gynaecology, he completed a postgraduate Master of Science in Epidemiology at the Bielefeld School of Public Health. 2007-2008, he was visiting fellow He has published more than 150 scientific papers. His research interests are epidemiological methods, perinatal and reproductive epidemiology, and infectious diseases epidemiology including computational epidemiology/mathematical modelling.

Prof. Dr. Francesco Sesti is Associate Professor in Gynecology and Obstetrics at Tor Vergata University of Roma from 2007. He was responsible of research funds financed by the Italian Ministry of University from 1994 until 2009. He is Member of several scientific Societies. His areas of scientific interest are gynaecologic oncology (diagnosis and treatment of HPV infections’ lower genital tract; diagnosis and treatment of preinvasive cervical lesions; diagnosis of preneoplastic and neoplastic vulvar lesions); mininvasive gynaecologic surgery (laparoscopy and hysteroscopy); uterine myomas; endometriosis; abnormal uterine bleeding. He is author of 105 publications on peer reviewed journals with impact factor, 797 total citations, h-index: 16.
