James A. Hendrix obtained a doctorate (Ph.D.) in chemistry from Colorado State University. Dr. Hendrix spent 18 years working at Sanofi-Aventis and predecessor companies, where he rose to level of senior director, U.S. site head for CNS research. He also spent two years working in biotech with various companies. Dr. Hendrix is currently director, global science initiatives, at the Alzheimer’s Association. He provides leadership advancing the Association’s science agenda. Specifically, he manages industry consortia and assists with the $100 million dollar Imaging Dementia-Evidence for Amyloid Scanning (IDEAS) Study. He has published more than 50 scientific publications and patents.
