Dr. Ji Hyun Kim is an Instructor at the Wake Forest Institute for Regenerative Medicine (WFIRM). Biography of B. Pelacho
Dr. Pelacho is Researcher at the Center for Applied Medicine Research (CIMA) and Assistant Professor at the University of Navarra (Spain). She has more than 10 years of experience in research and development of novel therapies aimed to treat cardiovascular diseases. Previously, Dr. Pelacho performed a post-doctoral stay at the University of Minnesota (Stem Cell Institute), developing studies focussed in the application of stem cell therapy for the treatment of myocardial infarction. During her career at the University of Navarra, she obtained a Ph.D. in Biochemistry. Dr. Pelacho has authored more than 40 manuscripts and has obtained several national and international grants as principal investigator.

Dr. Song is a Professor of Biomedical Engineering at Chongqing University, China. He received PhD degree from Chongqing University, China, and was awarded a Postdoctoral Fellowship for Foreign Researchers by the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) and took the postdoctoral training at Tohoku University and Nagoya University, Japan. Dr. Song’s research interests focus on exploring the mechanisms of stem cell mechanobiology regulated by various mechanical, chemical or coupled mechano-chemical factors. Dr. Song holds several patents and has published more than 100 international peer-reviewed papers, as well as two chapters in books. He also serves as a committee member for Chinese Society of Biomedical Engineering.
