Dr. Lieberman’s research has focused on the neurobiology and treatment of schizophrenia and related psychotic disorders which led to transformative mental healthcare strategy for the early detection and prevention of it. He has authored/co-authored over 600 articles published in scientific literature and has wrote/edited 11 books on mental illness, psychopharmacology and psychiatry. After receiving many national and international honors and awards, in 2000 he was elected to the National Academy of Sciences Institute of Medicine.
