Biography of Victor Manuel Castano Meneses
Dr. Victor-Manuel Castano-Meneses holds BSc, MSc and PhD in Physics from the Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico where he is a Full-Professor at the Centro de Fisica Aplicada y Tecnologia Avanzada. He spent 2 years as a postdoctoral fellow at IBM´s Yorktown Heights Research Center and has authored and co-authored over 600 peer-reviewed papers in international journals. He is one of the most cited Latin American Scientists in his field and has advised over 60 PhD thesis and numerous BSc and MSc dissertations. He also holds more than 20 patents and has been able to effectively transfer nanotechnology knowledge from the lab to the industry.
