Qinghua Qin is a professor at the Department of Engineering, Shenzhen MSU-BIT University. He has worked in several leading Australian and Chinese institutions and was awarded a Queen Elizabeth II fellowship and professorial fellowship at the University of Sydney. Zheng-Ming Huang obtained his MS in HUST in 1983 and PhD in NUS in 1999. He
developed a unified constitutive theory, Bridging Model, for composites. He has
found that the homogenized internal stresses in the fiber and matrix of a composite
obtained through a micromechanics theory must be converted into true values before a
failure assessment can be made against strengths of the constituents, and a systematic
theory for converting the homogenized stresses into the true ones has been established

He has been involved in a wide range of research projects in the general areas of dynamics, vibration and vibration control of mechanical systems. He has also undertaken a number of industry projects including capacity testing of large-scale bearings in nuclear power plant, chatter analysis of cold-rolling process, vibration analysis of gearboxes, design of magnetic bearings, design of nonlinear vibration absorber and isolators, failure analysis of ceramic insulators, design of a novel wind turbine.
