Biography of Arduino A. Mangoni
Professor Arduino A Mangoni trained in Cardiology, Clinical Pharmacology and General Medicine in Milan, Boston and London. He was awarded a PhD in Pharmacology at King’s College, University of London, in 2003. He was appointed Senior Lecturer (2003-2007) and Associate Professor (2007-2009) in Clinical Pharmacology at Flinders University before taking up the Chair in Medicine of Old Age at the University of Aberdeen, UK (2010-2012). In 2013 he was appointed Strategic Professor of Clinical Pharmacology and Head of Department at Flinders University. In 2015, he became Associate Dean and Head, Flinders Medical Science and Technology. He plays a key role in the regular review of the Australian Hypertension guidelines and has contributed to the development of the SIGN guidelines on the Management of Chronic Pain, released in December 2013. His research interest include metabolomics and ageing, drug discovery and geriatric clinical pharmacology. Professor Mangoni has published over 140 refereed publications. Biography of T.N. Wise
Thomas N. Wise, M.D. is Professor of Psychiatry at Johns Hopkins; Virginia Commonwealth University and George Washington University’s School of Medicine. He is currently Medical Director of Behavioral Health at the Inova Health Systems in Fairfax, Virginia. He has published over 325 peer reviewed articles and textbook chapters focusing primarily on the psychiatric issues in the medically ill. Dr. Wise has co-edited a recent book Psycho-Oncology. He has been president of the Academy of Psychosomatic Medicine; the American Psychosomatic Society; and the American Association of General Hospital Psychiatrists. He is the current Past-President of the International College of Psychosomatic Medicine. He is a fellow of the American College of Physicians; the American Psychiatric Association and the American College of Psychiatrists.

Dr. Burak Yulug is Professor of Neurology in Alanya University. He is a Stroke neurologist. After finishing his residency training in Turkey and Germany at many University Clinics, he has worked as a scientist in many Brain Research Centers in Germany and Switzerland. His main interest is Neuroregeneration and Neurodegeneration Research. Dr. Yulug has published more than 40 papers in SCI journals as the first author. Dr. Ahmed A. Abd-Rabou is a researcher at the National Research Center (NRC) in Egypt. Dr. Abd-Rabou obtained his M.Sc. degree (2011) and Ph.D. degree (2015) in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Cairo University, Egypt (approved by Rostock University in Germany and University of Hong Kong in China). Since 2008, his projects have been focused on “Cancer Biology, Signaling, Metabolism, and Targeted Nano-Delivery” as well as “HCV Response”, yielding over 20 peer-reviewed publications. Dr. Abd-Rabou also won a competitive Post-Doctoral at INSERM, Dijon, France, under a project entitled, “Functionalization of Tumor Necrosis Factor-Related Apoptosis-Inducing Ligand on Celecoxib-Loaded Nanoparticles to Overcome Cancer Multi-Drug Resistance”.

Ana Isabel Rocha Faustino, Master in Veterinary Medicine from University of Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro (UTAD) and PhD in Veterinary Sciences from the same university (UTAD). The animal models of chemically-induced mammary cancer, tumoral angiogenesis, lymphangiogenesis, and ultrasonography are her mains areas of interest. She participated in an investigation project funded by the Portuguese Foundation for Science and Technology. The outcomes of her work were published in several formats, she is author/coauthor of 35 papers. She has served as a reviewer in several journals (reviewer of one hundred and three manuscripts collectively). She has a rich experience in university teaching, and also of supervising graduate and post-graduate students overall.

I am Majid Mahdavi, Associate Professor of Biochemistry and Cancer Cell Biology at University of Tabriz, Iran. I got my Ms.C and Ph.D from Institute of Biochemistry and Biophysics, University of Tehran, Iran from 2005 to 2011. Primary focus of my research lab is investigating molecular mechanisms of tumor development and progression. We have applied different human cancer cell lines to comprehensively understand apoptotic signal transduction pathways in order to integrate this knowledge into strategies to effectively and specifically kill cancer cells for therapeutically purposes. Currently, we are working on the cytotoxicity, apoptosis inducing activity and molecular docking of the different derivatives and nanoparticles in human cancer cells.

Ahmad Salimi is an assistant professor of toxicology in the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology at the Ardabil University of Medical Sciences. He studied Toxicology in Ahvaz (Ahvaz Jundishapur University of Medical Sciences) and did his PhD in Tehran (Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences). His research focuses on the selective toxicity new drugs on cancer cell, the interface between chemical agents and immune system, mechanistic toxicology using isolated cells and mitochondria and also cell culture. Dr. Marko Stojanović graduated and completed his Master’s and Ph.D. studies in medical science, at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Belgrade, Serbia. Previously, his main fields of interest were related to the animal models of different cardiovascular pathology, and investigation of different substances that can be used for treatment of cardiovascular diseases. Currently, he is interested in clinical pharmacology (CP) work of ICU units and the CP related problems of geriatric population. Dr. Stojanović participated in two investigation projects of Serbian Ministry of Education and Science, and in one FP-7 project financed by EU.
