Professor Huan-Tsung Chang obtained his Ph. D. degree in Chemistry (Analytical Chemistry) from Iowa State University, USA in 1994 and became an associate professor and a professor in the Department of Chemistry, National Taiwan University, Taiwan in 1996 and 2001, respectively. He is also an Adjunct Chair Professor in the Department of Chemistry, Chung Yuan Christian University, Taiwan. His research focuses on Nanotechnology, Green Chemistry, Sensors, and Separation. Professor Chang is the author and co-author of more than 300 scientific papers. He was elected as a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry in 2013. He was also bestowed the ‘Academic Achievement Award 2015’ by the Chinese Chemical Society.

Prof. Atta-ur-Rahman, Ph.D. in organic chemistry from Kings College, University of Cambridge (1968), has 1235 international publications in several fields of organic chemistry including, 349 books published largely by major U.S. and European presses. He was elected as Fellow of Royal Society (London) (2006) and won the prestigious UNESCO Science Prize (1999).
Prof. Atta-ur-Rahman was conferred honorary D.Sc. degrees by many leading world universities including the University of Cambridge and appointed an Honorary Life Fellow of Kings College, University of Cambridge. The Austrian government honoured him with its high civil award (“Grosse Goldene Ehrenzeischen am Bande") (2007). He is Professor Emeritus at the University of Karachi, Pakistan. Prof. Atta-ur-Rahman was appointed Academician (Foreign Member) of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (2015). He won the “Friendship Award of China” (2014) and was conferred the highest scientific award of China, the International Science & Technology Cooperation Award, by President Xi Jinping (2020). He was bestowed with the International Scientific Corporation Award (2014) and the “Einstein Professorship” by the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) (2013). He was also elected as Foreign Member of the Korean Academy of Science and Technology. Research Institutes have been established in his name in China, Malaysia and Pakistan.

Jianhui Huang obtained his Ph.D. in chemistry from the University of York, UK under the guidance of Professor Peter A. O’Brien in 2006. Prof. Jampilek deepened his professional knowledge at the Medicinal Chemistry Institute of the Heidelberg University (Germany) and at multiple specialized courses. In 2009, he became an Associate Professor of Medicinal Chemistry at the Faculty of Pharmacy of the University of Veterinary and Pharmaceutical Sciences Brno (Czech Republic). In 2017, he was designated as a Full Professor of Medicinal Chemistry by the President of the Slovak Republic. Prof. Jampilek has been working for several entities in the Czech Republic and the Slovak Republic. He is an author/co-author of more than 30 patents/patent applications, almost 200 peer-reviewed scientific publications, 7 university textbooks, 20 chapters in monographs, and many invited lectures at international conferences and workshops. He also received several awards for his scientific results, e.g., from Aventis, Elsevier, Willey, Sanofi, and FDA. After a 2-year postdoctoral research at Wuhan University, Dr. Ma returned to the Institute of Chemistry, CAS, where in 1999, he was promoted to full professor. Fang Li has been active in waste water treatment research for over 10 years, dealing primarily with membrane separation, treatment, and reuse of textile waste water.
