Dr Putla Sudarsanam, currently Marie Curie postdoctoral fellow at KU Leuven (Belgium),

Hyderabad, India. Before joining at KU Leuven, he did postdoctoral work at RMIT University,

He majored in the durability of offshore structures, especially in the reinforcement corrosion. He conducted researches on the electrochemical characterization of anti-corrosion. Also, he designed an acceleration way to deteriorate the concrete and reinforcement in an electrical field. Besides, he paid attention to the concrete behavior in the marine environment, due to the combined effect of sulfate attack and dry-wetting cycles. He developed a chemical-damage-elastoplasticity model to describe the mechanical behavior of deteriorated concrete.
