Since 2007, his R&D activities were diverted to wind, wave and tidal renewable energy exploitation, particularly focused on the condition monitoring, fault diagnosis, operation and maintenance of onshore/offshore wind turbines. So far, he has published over 100 high quality research papers in this field in peer-reviewed journals and conferences.
