Don Byrne is Emeritus Professor of the Australian National University, and Visiting Fellow in the ANU Medical School, prior to which he was Director of the Research School of Psychology at the ANU. He holds doctorates from the University of Adelaide and the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, and he is a Fellow of the Academy of the Social Sciences in Australia and the Australian Psychological Society. He has authored or edited 14 books and around 160 refereed papers or invited book chapters. His most recent research programs focus on adolescent stress and on child and adolescent health behaviors.
