Biography of G. Dhiman
Gaurav Dhiman received his Ph.D. in Computer Engineering from Thapar
Institute of Engineering & Technology, Patiala. He has completed his Master
Degree of Computer Applications from Thapar Institute of Engineering &
Technology, Patiala. He is currently working as an Assistant Professor with the
Department of Computer Science, Government Bikram College of Commerce,
Patiala. He was selected as an outstanding reviewer from Knowledge- Based
Systems (Elsevier). He has published more than 25 peer-review research papers
(indexed in SCI-SCIE). He is also in editorial board member of Artificial
Intelligence Evolution journal. His research interest includes Single-, Multi-,
Many-objectives optimization (Bio-inspired, Evolutionary and Quantum), Soft
computing (Type-1 and Type-2 fuzzy sets), Power systems, and Change
detection using remotely sensed high-resolution satellite data. His research
articles can be found in Knowledge-Based Systems (Elsevier), Advances in
Engineering Software (Elsevier), Applied Intelligence (Springer), Journal of

Biography of E.K.I. Hamad
Dr. Ehab K. I. Hamad obtained his bachelors and masters degrees in Electrical Engineering from Assiut University, Egypt in 1994 and 1999, respectively. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Magdeburg, Germany in 2006. He has served as Teaching/Research assistant at Aswan Faculty of Engineering, SVU. From July 2001 to December 2006, he was a Research Assistant at the University Magdeburg, Germany. In 2010 he joined the University of Huddersfield, UK as a Post-doctoral Research Assistant. Dr. Hamad is currently an Associate Professor for microwave antennas at Aswan University, Egypt.

Biography of P. Leroux
Paul Leroux is Professor at the Department of Electrical Engineering (ESAT) of KU Leuven (University of Leuven), Belgium. He received the M.Sc. degree and Ph.D. degree in electronic engineering from the KU Leuven in 1999 and 2004, respectively. From November 2011 to July 2016 he headed the Electrical Engineering Technology Cluster. Since August 2016 he is Campus Chair of KU Leuven, Geel Campus. His current research activities within the ESAT-ADVISE research group focus on radiation hardened analog, mixed-signal and RF IC design for communication and instrumentation in space, high-energy physics and nuclear energy applications. His group is part of the CERN CMS collaboration where Prof. Leroux is KU Leuven team leader. Prof. Leroux has (co)authored over 200 papers in international journals and conference proceedings. In 2010, he received the SCK-CEN Prof. Roger Van Geen Award from the FWO/FNRS for his highly innovative work on IC design for harsh radiation environments.

Biography of P. Mercorelli
Paolo Mercorelli grew up in Castiglione d'Orcia (Italy), and from 1977 to 1982
attended high school Antonio da San Gallo in Montepulciano (Italy).
He received the M.S. degree (Laurea) in Electronic Engineering from the
University of Florence, Florence, Italy, in 1992. Thereafter, from 1992 to 1993,
he was an independent development engineer in the field of electrical and
hydraulic systems. In 1994 he joined the "X Cycle" doctoral program in Systems
Engineering at the University of Bologna. He received a Ph.D. degree in
Systems Engineering from his Alma Mater, Studiorum University of Bologna,
Bologna, Italy, in 1998.
Recent Patents on Electrical Engineering was launched in 2008 and later renamed in 2012 as Recent Patents on Electrical & Electronic Engineering and in 2014 as Recent Advances in Electrical & Electronic Engineering.
