Dr. Cosimo Gianluca Fortuna was born in Catania on 22nd January 1975; he got the degree in
Chemistry in 2000 at Catania University. In 2004 he finished his Ph.D. During these three years he
acquired a lot of experience in synthesis of heterocyclic chemistry as demonstrated by the financial
support that the University of Catania assigned him to got his research. He took part in many school
to improve his experience. He had a research contract (September/December 2000) with Chemistry
Department, University of Catania. Since April 2004 to October 2006 he had a post-doctoral
position at the Department of Chemistry, University of Catania. Since November 2006 he is an
Organic Chemistry Assistant at the same Department. He is member of Società Chimica Italiana
and of the QSAR Society. From 2006 to 2009 he was a member of the directive committee of the
Società Chimica Italiana (SCI) young group. From 2009 to 2014 and from 2019 to now he is

D. in Medicinal Chemistry from School of Pharmacy, Fourth Military Medical University, Xi’an, China.
