Anusak Kerdsin is currently an Assistant Professor (Lecturer) at the Faculty of Public Health, Kasetsart University Chalermphrakiat Sakon Nakhon, Thailand. He received his Ph.D. in 2014 in the field of Microbiology and Infectious Diseases from Osaka University, Japan. His research interests are (1) Study of Streptococcus suis infection in Thailand: strain typing, epidemiology, immunology, genomic comparison, virulence studies and molecular characterization and (2) Development of molecular-based methods to detection, identification and typing of pathogenic bacteria and antimicrobial resistant bacteria. He has more than 40 publications to his credit in national and international journals.

Dr. EFE SEZGIN is currently as an Associate Professor at the Laboratory of Nutrigenomics and Epidemiology, Department of Food Engineering, Izmir Institute of Technology, Urla, Izmir,Turkey. He received his Ph.d degree in Genetics from Stony Brook University (SBU), Stony Brook, NY, USA. His research interests are genetics, genomics, genetic epidemiology, and biostatistics. Biography of S.V. Sidorenko
Professor Sergei Sidorenko is the Head of the Department of Medical Microbiology and Molecular
Epidemiology at the Pediatric Research and Clinical Center for Infectious Diseases , St. Petersburg,
Russia, and Professor of the Department of Medical Microbiology at the North-West State Medical
University, Moscow, Russia. Professor Sidorenko graduated from the Military Medical Academy in St. Petersburg in 1976. From
there, he worked as a bacteriologist and infectious diseases physician in a military hospital in Middle
Asia and as a Junior, and then Senior Researcher at the Research Institute of Military Medicine. In
1991, Professor Sidorenko joined the National Research Center for Antibiotics in Moscow, as the Head
of the Department of Medical Microbiology and Chemotherapy. In 2008, he was appointed Head of
Laboratory Department at the National Agency for Clinical Pharmacology and Pharmacy in Moscow,
and also joined the Russian State Medical University. He moved from Moscow to St. Petersburg in 2009
to take up his current positions, where he remains to the present day. Professor Sidorenko’s main research interests are in medical microbiology, antimicrobial resistance and infectious diseases surveillance. He is Editor-in-Chief of the journal Antibiotics and Chemotherapy (Russia) and a member of the editorial board for the journals Clinical Microbiology and Antimicrobial Chemotherapy (Russia) and Clinical Pharmacology (Russia). Professor Sidorenko is also a member of National and International societies on Microbiology and Infectious Diseases. He has published over
100 papers in peer-reviewed journals and has authored four books.

Biography of Jean-Marc Sabatier
Jean-Marc SABATIER is a Director of research at the French CNRS, with PhD and HDR degrees in Biochemistry and Microbiology. He headed several academic research teams (CNRS, INSERM and University), as well as a combined academic-industry research laboratory devoted to the engineering of therapeutic peptides (ERT62, Marseilles, France). He was also a Director of Research for several French private companies as well as a Canadian public company. He acts as a Consultant for top pharmaceutical and cosmetic companies. Dr. Sabatier works in the field of animal toxins. He so far contributed to several books in toxinology and virology, and more than 160 scientific articles, 180 communications, and 53 patents in both biology and chemistry.
