Biography of N. Adhikari
Mr. Nilanjan Adhikari completed his B. Pharm. (2007) and M. Pharm. (2009) from Jadavpur
University, Kolkata. He was a Senior Research Fellow (SRF) of University Grants Commission
(UGC), New Delhi, India and Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), New Delhi,
India and performed his research studies in Department of Pharmaceutical Technology, Jadavpur
University, Kolkata, India. He was awarded Ph.D. in 2018 from Jadavpur University. He served
as an assistant professor in Guru Nanak Institute of Pharmaceutical Science and Technology
(GNIPST), Kolkata from 2009-2012. He also acted as a visiting faculty of Jadavpur University,
Kolkata during 2014-2015. He also served as an assistant professor in School of Pharmaceutical
Technology, Adamas University, Kolkata from 2018-2019. Currently, he is a Research Associate
of CSIR, New Delhi, India and continuing his post-doctoral research in Dept. of Pharm. Tech.,
Jadavpur University, Kolkata, India. His research area includes design and development of small
molecule anticancer and antiviral agents, drug designing of different bioactive molecules through
rigorous computational modeling studies and large scale structure-activity relationship (SAR)
analysis. He has already published more than 70 research and review articles in different peer-
reviewed journals as well as 7 book chapters. Apart from research activities, he has fond of
composing music, writing poetry and sonnets, reading books on different aspects of modern
science and technology as well as gardening.

Dr. Ana María Díaz Lanza is a Professor of Pharmacognosy, Phytotherapy and Pharmacology at University of Alcala de Henares (UAH), Madrid, Spain. Since 1979, she participates in university teaching at graduate and postgraduate levels, and in diverse courses organized by public and private entities. At UAH, she is a member of two research groups: 1. Phase zero trials of antineoplastic drugs and 2. New antitumoral drugs: Toxic action on leukemic cells. Dr. Diaz Lanza has directed 15 doctoral dissertations (7 of them with international mention), 36 different scientific works (final degree / master projects, etc.) and she has been awarded 22 project grants, mostly as Principal Investigator.
