Wang-Ren Qiu is Professor in the Computer Department of Jingdezhen Ceramic
Institute, Director of Major in statistics. He obtained his PhD from the Department of
control theory and control engineering of the Dalian University of Technology, China,
in 2012, did two years of postdoctoral work at the University of Electronic Science
and Technology of Chin, and worked for one year as a visiting scholar for the
University of Missouri-Columbia. His research is in computational biology and
bioinformatics, including machine-learning application in bioinformatics, protein
structure prediction, post-translational modification prediction, high-throughput
biological data analyses, in silico studies of biological information systems. He has
published more than 60 papers, which were supported by many Foundations including
the National Nature Science Foundation of China, China Postdoctoral Science
Foundation Funded Project, etc.

Dr. Tahir received his Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) focused on Computer Science from Department of Computer and Information Science, PIEAS, Pakistan. His research interests include image processing, computer vision, bioinformatics, pattern recognition, and deep learning. The key focus of his study is on image processing based methods to address various problems in bioinformatics and pattern recognition. He is currently working on person re-identification using deep learning methods.

Dr. Zhang has experience in bioinformatics, mathematics and statistics, with expertise in high throughput next generation sequencing (NGS) analysis. She develops and supports analysis pipelines for molecular diagnostics lab, and is involved in NGS panel development and validation. She has been publishing highly impact peer reviewed papers. Much of Dr. Zhang’s research work focused on large-scale genomic abnormalities studies in lymphoid malignancies including somatic mutation detection, copy number analysis, gene expression analysis, fusion gene detection, T-cell clonality assessment, single-cell RNA-seq analysis, and statistical analysis in clinical and research data.
