Prof. Dimitrios P. Nikolelis received his Ph.D. degree in 1976 from University of Athens, Greece. Prof. Nikolelis is currently a Professor of Environmental Chemistry in the Department of Chemistry at University of Athens. He is the Editor of 5 books on Biosensors, author/co-author of over 150 scientific articles, and the Editor of many scientific journals. His research focuses on the fabrication of portable biosensors for uses in the field. The group of Prof. Nikolelis group has recently utilized graphene and ZnO (Zinc Oxide) to develop chemical nanosensors for species of clinical or food significance, such as urea, uric acid, cholesterol, etc.
