He has about 25 years of experience in the field of photocatalysis of cementitious materials. Among the finalists of the "European Inventor Award 2014" in Berlin, as principal researcher of Italcementi for "Self-cleaning concrete". For several years, he has been the coordinator of the UNI (Italian) working group on photocatalysis and active member of CEN TC386 and ISO TC 206 / WG9 "Photocatalysis". He is author / co-author of about 100 scientific publications and 14 patents, professional trainer and university lecturer (Politecnico di Milano, UnitelmaSapienza (Rome), Green Building Council Italy).

Dr. Sakar Mohan has obtained his M.Sc., M.Tech in 2010 and PhD in 2015 from the University of Madras, India. Later, he moved to Laval University, Canada for his postdoctoral research in 2016. Presently, he is working as an Assistant Professor at the Centre for Nano and Material Sciences, Jain University, India since 2017. Dr. Sakar's research activities include the photocatalysts-design for various photocatalytic applications such as pollutant degradations, H 2 production, CO 2 reduction, biodiesel production and photocatalytic membranes for water purifications. Currently, he has published 50 papers in international journals, 5 invited book chapters and 65 papers in international conferences.

Dr. Arvind Kumar Yadav completed his M.Sc. in 2010 from the University of Allahabad and qualified for the CSIR (NET-Junior Research Fellow) in the same year. He then joined a group in 2011 for his Ph.D. degree on the topic “organic synthesis via organocatalysis”. Currently, he is working for the independent project of SERB entitled synthesis of novel fluoroorganic compounds employing photoredox catalysis. His specialization is unusually broad and spans from methodology work on basic organic transformations to modern methods of C-H activation. His main focus lies however on photochemical and particularly on photoredox-mediated transformations. Altogether, Dr. Yadav is a highly dedicated researcher, as can be seen from his continuous publications every year from 2012 to 2020.

Sheng Ye received his Ph.D. degree in physical chemistry from the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) in 2018 under the supervision of Prof. Can Li. Later, he joined Prof. Li’s group as a Research Assistant at Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics (DICP), Chinese Academy of Sciences. His research topic mainly focuses on artificial photosynthesis for solar energy conversion (i.e. solar water splitting and CO2 reduction). He is interested in the exploration of photoinduced charge separation at nm/μm scale, interfacial charge transfer and surface catalysis.

Leonardo Palmisano (1950) obtained his degree in Chemistry cum Laude in 1973 at the University of Palermo. He is Full Professor of Chemistry at the University of Palermo, Dipartimento di Ingegneria, from 01/11/2000. The scientific activity has been mainly focused in the field of heterogeneous photocatalysis, such as preparation, characterization with many bulk and surface techniques, and testing of various types of bare and doped polycrystalline photocatalysts. He has collaborated with many scientists all over the world producing many joint papers in international journals (about 300) and books, 5 patents. Citations 15759, h index 65 (Scopus). He is member of Editorial boards of Eur. J. Inorg. Chem., Curr. Org. Chem., Int. J. Photoenerg., and J. Membrane Sci. Technol.
