Dr. Liakoppolus received his MD degree from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece and PhD degree from the Democritus University of Thrace, Greece. He is currently an Associate Professor of Nephrology at the Division of Nephrology and Hypertension, 1st Department of Internal Medicine, AHEPA Hospital, Medical School, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece. Currently, he serves as a member (representing ISN) of the World Kidney Day Steering Committee. Additionally, he is actively involved in many Committees of the Medical School of the University (PhD Committee, MSc Committee, Bioethics Committee, Educational Committee etc.) and in the Administration Committee (RESTART) of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and is also the Vice-Chairman of the Research Ethics Committee of the University of Peloponnese, Greece.

Biography of Dimitri P. Mikhailidis
Dimitri P. Mikhailidis graduated from the University of London (BSc, MSc, MB, BS and MD) and is an Honorary Professor in the Division of Surgery and Interventional Science at the University College London Medical School, University College London (UCL). He is the former Academic Head in the Department of Clinical Biochemistry at the Royal Free Hospital Campus (UCL), and an Adjunct Professor of Medicine since 2019 at theMohammed Bin Rashid University (MBRU), Dubai. He is also a Visiting Professor at the University of Belgrade, Serbia and at two other universities in Saudi Arabia. His research interests are dyslipidemias and thrombosis. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Pathologists (FRCPath) and Royal College of Physicians (FRCP). He has 38,395 citations on the Clarivate Core Collection (H-index 89).
