Dr. Halil Durak was born in Turkey in 1981. He graduated with a BSc in Chemical Education from the Yuzuncu Yil University 2004. He has joined the Yuzuncu Yil University in 2005 where he obtained an MSc (2007) in Chemical Education and a PhD (2012) in Physical Chemistry. His PhD focuses on the dissolution kinetics and determination of tincal in phosphoric acid solutions of high temperatures. Currently, Dr Halil Durak is an Assoc.Prof.Dr. in the Department of Chemistry, Yuzuncu Yil University, Zeve Campus. Dr. Durak’s current research focuses thermochemical conversion process such as pyrolysis, hydrothermal liquefaction, supercritical liquefaction.

Dr. Dengwei Jing is presently serving as a full time professor at the International Research Center for renewable Energy & National Laboratory of Multiphase flow in power engineering, Xi’an Jaitong University. He has been awarded a degree of PhD in Thermal Engineering from the same University in 2007. His field of expertise is in the Multiphase flow modelling and measurement, Solar Energy conversion, Hydrogen production and advanced nanotechnologies for enhanced heat and mass transfer. He has also been awarded as the Newton Advanced Fellowship from the Royal Society, UK. He has published more than 115 peer reviewed journal papers, including Nature Communications, Renewable Energy and Sustainable Energy Reviews, Applied Physics Letters, Physics Fluids, AIChE J, Energy, Solar Energy, Inter J Heat Mass Transfer, etc.

Dr. Narasimalu Srikanth is the Program Director and Principal Research Scientist leading the offshore
renewables in ERI@N (NTU). Earlier to NTU, he was the Technical director and Senior Specialist at
Vestas Wind Energy Systems and has more than 25 years of industrial research & development
experience. His educational qualification includes first masters in design engineering from Indian
Institute of Technology (Bombay) and second masters in materials engineering from National
University of Singapore where he further pursed his first doctoral PhD degree in Mechanical
engineering and further put efforts towards his second doctoral PhD degree in Technology
management and Innovation and has published more than 150 journal papers and has 30 over
patents. His areas of research interest include design of renewable systems towards tropical
locations, floating renewables towards remote coastal location, structural integrity studies using IOT
based machinery and offshore structures health sensing system, machine learning algorithms
towards energy forecasting and digital twins towards asset health monitoring to enable condition
based maintenance and condition based operation in tropical environment.
