Dr. Halil Durak was born in Turkey in 1981. He graduated with a BSc in Chemical Education from the Yuzuncu Yil University 2004. He has joined the Yuzuncu Yil University in 2005 where he obtained an MSc (2007) in Chemical Education and a PhD (2012) in Physical Chemistry. His PhD focuses on the dissolution kinetics and determination of tincal in phosphoric acid solutions of high temperatures. Currently, Dr Halil Durak is an Assoc.Prof.Dr. in the Department of Chemistry, Yuzuncu Yil University, Zeve Campus. Dr. Durak’s current research focuses thermochemical conversion process such as pyrolysis, hydrothermal liquefaction, supercritical liquefaction.

Dr. E.A Parlak is presently serving as a senior scientist at TUBITAK Marmara Research Center Chemistry Institute. She completed her graduation from Middle East Technical University in 1997 and she further obtained M. Sc. Degree from the same institution. She has also been awarded a degree of PhD in 2006 from İstanbul Technical University (İTU) Polymer and Technology Programme. Dr. Narasimalu Srikanth is the Program Director and Principal Research Scientist leading the offshore
renewables in ERI@N (NTU). Earlier to NTU, he was the Technical director and Senior Specialist at
Vestas Wind Energy Systems and has more than 25 years of industrial research & development
experience. His educational qualification includes first masters in design engineering from Indian
Institute of Technology (Bombay) and second masters in materials engineering from National
University of Singapore where he further pursed his first doctoral PhD degree in Mechanical
engineering and further put efforts towards his second doctoral PhD degree in Technology
management and Innovation and has published more than 150 journal papers and has 30 over
patents. His areas of research interest include design of renewable systems towards tropical
locations, floating renewables towards remote coastal location, structural integrity studies using IOT
based machinery and offshore structures health sensing system, machine learning algorithms
towards energy forecasting and digital twins towards asset health monitoring to enable condition
based maintenance and condition based operation in tropical environment.

Dr. Zhen Yang is a Professor at the Department of Energy and Power Engineering, Tsinghua University, China. He received his B.E. and PhD degrees in Power Engineering and Engineering Thermophysics from Tsinghua University in 2002 and 2007, respectively. He was a post-doctor at the School of Mechanical Engineering, Purdue University, West Lafayette, USA from 2008- 2010, and joined Tsinghua University in 2010. Dr. Adnan Sozen received his PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the Institute of Science and Technology, Department of Mechanical Engineering, Gazi University. Currently, he is an Associate Professor in the Energy Systems Engineering Technology Faculty, Gazi University, Turkey. His research interests include Renewable Energy Systems, Solar Energy Applications, GES Feasibility, Nanofluidics, nano-coolers, Heating/Cooling Systems, Heat Recovery Systems, Françis type Turbine Design, HEPP projects, Energy Management Performance Evaluation, Energy and Environmental Effectiveness, Fluid mechanics, Thermodynamics, Heat transfer, Optimization Techniques, Artificial Intelligence Techniques, Data Envelopment Analysis, Nuclear Power Plants, and Absorption Cooling/Heating Systems.
