Important information for authors of Bentham Science Publishers and Bentham Open. Bentham Science allows authors to self-archive pre-refereed preprints but not refereed postprints.   However,  NIH funded authors are allowed to self-archive refereed postprints after 12 months of publication.  Bentham Science is compliant with the open access policy for the  MRC, Cancer Research UK, NIH, and many other funders. Please also refer to our permissions and copyright transfer summary at Sherpa Romeo at http://www.sherpa.ac.uk/romeo.php

For authors of Bentham Open there is no restriction to authors for self-archiving of pre-refereeing preprints nor refereed postprints. The same applies for all authors who opt to publish their articles as open access for Bentham Science Publishers journals, in which case the publisher's version/PDF of the published article can be used for self-archiving.

Conditions for self-archiving:

  • On authors personal or authors institutions server
  • Published source must be acknowledged
  • Must link to journal home page
  • Publishers version/PDF cannot be used
  • Articles in all journals can be made Open Access on payment of additional charge
