Aims & Scope

The Open Mechanics Journal is an international open access journal that contains contributions from leading-edge research on mechanics of solids. The journal includes research articles, reviews, and letters from all engineering disciplines that deal with mechanical behavior of materials and structures under static, dynamic and fatigue loads.

The Open Mechanics Journal welcomes papers that deal with novel work in the areas including: Aeroelasticity, Biomechanics, Composite materials, Computation mechanics, Elasticity, Mechanical properties of materials, Mechanics of shocks, Impact, Micromechanics, Nanomechanics, Nonlinear dynamics, Plasticity, Stability of structures, Stress analysis, Structures, Vibration, Wave propagation.

Review papers on cutting-edge research are welcomed. Papers that describe new approaches to education and training in mechanics of materials and structures are also encouraged. The emphasis will be on publishing quality articles rapidly and openly available to researchers worldwide.
