Dr. J.T.M. (Jeff) de Hosson is a Professor of Applied Physics in the University of Groningen. He was appointed by the Crown (Her Majesty Queen Juliana of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Decree KB 101, October 6th 1977). He obtained his Ph.D. degree from the University of Groningen in 1976. He completed his Masters from the University of Utrecht, the Netherlands, in 1973. His research interests are in nanostructured materials, transmission and scanning electron microscopy, laser additive manufacturing, heterogeneous and homogeneous interfaces, thin and thick protective coatings, dislcoations, dynamical properties of defects in condensed matter physics. He has a number of awards to his credit. He has supervised more than 80 PhD theses and more than 600 BaSc/MSc Theses. He has been involved in 739 research articles and 39 chapters.

Dr. Muhammad Bilal Tahir has received his Ph.D. in Physics with a specialization in Energy and Environmental Applications, Material Science and Nanotechnology, Environmental Engineering, Photocatalysis, etc. He is currently working at the Department of Physics at the University of Gujrat, Gujrat. He has published more than 100 papers on the topics of renewable energy, alternative fuels, waste-to-energy, catalytic, enhanced oil recovery (EOR) and resource recovery. He is serving as editor/guest editor in several special issues Current Nanoscience, Current analytical chemistry, Frontiers in Energy Research and numerous others. He has completed many internationally funded research projects. He has been actively involved in community services and consultation with the various international organizations for providing sustainable solutions for energy and waste-related issues.

Dr. Xiuhua Zhao is a Research Professor at the Ministry Education Key Laboratory of Forest Plant Ecology, Northeast Forestry University. He did his Ph.D. in Botany from Northeast Forestry University, Harbin city, Heilongjiang in the year 2009. His Research interests are (a) Extraction, separation of and purification of native compounds (b) Nanomedicine (c) Design and evaluation of drug delivery (d) bioavailability or bioaccessibility enhancement of poorly soluble drugs by nanotechnology (e) Biomaterials.
