Shozo Tobimatsu

Since December 1999, Dr. Tobimatsu has been Professor and Chairman, Department of Clinical Neurophysiology, Neurological Institute, Faculty of Medicine, Graduate School of Medical Sciences, Kyushu University. From August 2006 to December 2014, he was a Vice Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Kyushu University. Since November 2013, he has been a president of the Japanese Society of Clinical Neurophyiology. His current research interests are higher brain functions and cognitive neuroscience in humans, using non-invasive methods such as EEG, ERP, and MEG. Dr. Tobimatsu has authored more than 140 manuscripts.

Abraham Zangen (Biography
Abraham Zangen

Professor Abraham Zangen is the head of the brain stimulation and behavior lab in Ben-Gurion University in Israel. His research is directed to identification and treatment of altered neuroplasticity in psychiatric disorders, using brain stimulation techniques in both animal models and humans. He has developed unique coils allowing transcranial magnetic stimulation of deep brain regions, which are widely used for research and treatment of neuropsychiatric disorders. Prof. Zangen has published over 120 peer reviewed articles, reviews and book chapters, and was rewarded with numerous personal prizes for his scientific achievements including the Medical Futures Innovation Award in London and the Juludan Prize in Israel.

Dr. Koji Abe is 60 years old man, and is currently Professor and Chairman of Neurology at Okayama University Medical School in Japan. He graduated Tohoku University School of Medicine (M.D.), and then got Ph.D. title from Tohoku University. Professor Koji Abe has been publishing more than 600 papers on neurology and neuroscience fields including neurobioengineering. His research interests cover many important fields of neurology especially in the mechanism of ischemic brain damage, gene and stem cell therapy, neuroprotection, and neuroimaging. He is the past president of the International Society of Cerebral Blood Flow and Metabolism (CBFM), and organized World CBFM meeting in Osaka in 2007 and Japan-Asia CBFM meeting Okayama city in 2014. Qiang Huang (Biography
Qiang Huang

Qiang Huang, IEEE Fellow, a professor in Beijing Institute of Technology. He received PhD degree from the Waseda University, Japan. He was appointed the Chung Kong Scholar Professorship of the Ministry of Education of China, and was granted Distinguished Young Scholar of the National Science Foundation of China. He is also the associate editor of some International Journals, such as Advanced Robotics and Social Robotics.

His research interests include humanoid robots, medical robot and micro/nano robot. And the five generation humanoid robots he developed has reached international advanced level. In recent decade, he has published more than 200 journal and conference papers, such as the IEEE Transaction on Robotics. More than 150 of these papers were catalogued by SCI/EI. He has received best paper rewards for 5 times. More than 70 patents were applied and about 40 were granted.

Tetsuo Kobayashi

Prof. Tetsuo Kobayashi received his Ph.D. in Electronic Engineering in 1984 from Hokkaido University, Sapporo, Japan. Since 2004, he has been a full professor of Biomedical Engineering in Kyoto University, Kyoto, Japan. He is an author or co-author of more than 250 publications. His research interests include functional neuroimaging, cognitive neuroscience, biomagnetism and magnetic resonance imaging. Dr. Yamasaki is an executive director and a director of Clinical Departments of Minkodo Minohara Hospital. Rolando A. Gittens

Rolando A. Gittens received his M.Sc. in Materials Science & Engineering, and PhD in Bioengineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology. His research focuses on the role of surface nanostructural and electrical properties of biomaterials on cell differentiation for bone and neural regeneration. His work has yielded two patents for surface nanomodification of titanium implants, more than 15 publications in high-impact journals, co-authorship in a book chapter, and several conference awards.
