Dr. Amimul Ahsan is a faculty member in the Department of Civil Engineering and a researcher in the Institute of Advanced Technology, University Putra Malaysia, Malaysia. Dr. Ahsan received a PhD degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Fukui, Japan and he has more than 12 years of research, teaching and industrial experiences. He is involved with a number of collaborative research projects in different countries. He specializes in different aspects of Water & Environmental Engineering. He has published extensively in relevant field including 7 books, 9 book chapters and over 90 journal articles. Sultan Selangor (Chancellor, UPM) has conferred him “Vice Chancellor Fellowship Award” (Science and Technology) in 2015. He is serving in the editorial board of a number of refereed journals as an Editor-in-Chief , Editor/Associate Editor & Editorial Board Member. His h-index in Google is 18 and in Scopus is 14.

Y. Chen

Yinguang Chen received his Ph.D. degree Jiangnan University in 1999. Then, he worked as a Postdoc in Tongji University, University of Central Florida, and Virginia Tech from 1999 till 2003 before joining the School of Environmental Science and Engineering, Tongji University. In 2003 he received the professor position. His research interests focus on the environmental microbial technology. Dr. Ashok Kumar is a professor and chairman of Civil Engineering at The University of Toledo, Toledo, Ohio. Dr. Kumar received his Ph.D. from the University of Waterloo, Canada. Before coming to Toledo he worked for Syncrude Canada Ltd. as an atmospheric physicist. He has guided and mentored over 100 graduate students in their pursuits of advanced engineering knowledge. He is an honorary member of the Air and Waste Management Association.

M.L. Sattler

Dr. Melanie Sattler serves the Syed Qasim Endowed Professor of Civil Engineering at the University of Texas at Arlington. Her research interests include renewable energy from waste, reduction of greenhouse gas emissions from landfills, beneficial re-use of waste materials, and life-cycle assessment of environmental impacts. In 14 years at UTA, she has served as Principal or Co-Investigator for over 20 projects, and she and her students have published over 100 peer-reviewed journal and conference papers. Dr. Sattler received her Ph.D. in environmental engineering from the University of Texas at Austin and is a registered professional engineer in the State of Texas.

Dr. Thekla Tsitsoni is Professor at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, in the School of Forestry and Natural Environment. Her research and teaching, in undergraduate and postgraduate level, is related with issues such as, Ecology, Applied Silviculture, Ecological Engineering, Rehabilitation of Degraded Forest Ecosystems, Urban Forestry, Nature Conservation in Protected Areas and Forest Landscape. She is scientifically responsible of several research projects founded by European Union and other sources. Dr Aiqin Wang is the Director of R&D Center of Eco-material and Eco-Chemistry of Lanzhou Institute of Chemical Physics, CAS. He has been a full Professor since 2000. His research focuses on synthesis, characterisation and adsorption processes of functional adsorbent materials, oil sorption resins, natural and clay mineral adsorbent materials. A. Al-Salaymeh

Ahmed Al-Salaymeh is a Professor at the Mechanical Engineering Department, School of Engineering, University of Jordan, Amman-Jordan. Currently, a Chairman of the Mechanical Engineering Department. Director and founder of the Renewable Energy Master Program at the University of Jordan. Also, the director and founder of Environmental Technology and Climate Change Master Program at the University of Jordan. He received Ph.D. degree from the Institute of Fluid Mechanics, Friedrich Alexander Universität Erlangen-Nurnberg, Erlangen-Germany in April 2001, M.Sc and B.Sc degrees with honor from Mechanical Engineering Department at the University of Jordan. He is having special interest in Fluid Mechanics, MEMS, Energy, Energy Efficiency, and Renewable Energy. He has a good research in the area of Thermal Flow Sensors (Patent registered in Germany). He published many papers in the international journals and actively participates in many scientific conferences. He is also the editorial board member for a number of international journals. He organized and participated in many workshops, seminars and conferences. Also, he is the chairman of the organizing committee for the GCREEDER conferences.

M.N. Chong

Dr. Chong is an Associate Professor at the Chemical Engineering Discipline, School of Engineering of Monash University Malaysia. He is also holding several adjunct positions and a prestigious fellowship, including being a Visiting Professor at the University of Ulsan, Republic of Korea; a Senior Research Fellow at the University of South Australia; a Visiting Scientist at the Max Planck Institute for Chemical Energy Conversion, Germany; and being awarded the prestigious Royal Society Newton Advanced Fellowship (UK) in collaboration with University College London. Concurrently, he is also serving in his capacity as an Associate Editor for the Water Science & Technology journal published by IWA Publishing, as well as the Founding Editor & Editor-in-Chief for the Water Conservation Science & Engineering journal published by Springer. His main research interests are nanotechnology, environmental photocatalysis, sustainable and water technology, water resources management and sustainability related research. To date, he has published more than 110 publications in academic journals, conference proceedings, book and book chapters, and technical reports.

S. Deng

Dr. Deng is a professor in Environmental School, Tsinghua University, and he has nearly 20 years of experience in environmental research. He mainly focuses on novel adsorbent preparation for pollutant removal from water or wastewater, emerging contaminant control technology, and CO2 adsorption. He published more than 140 peer-reviewed papers and applied for 24 patents. He ever served as the Management Member in Adsorption Groups in International Water Association. Currently, he is the editor of Frontier of Environmental Science and Engineering, Editorial Board of Global Journal of Environmental Science, Advances in Environmental Chemistry, ISRN Environmental Chemistry and Technology and The Scientific World Journal.

Dr Holdway joined the University of Ontario Institute of Technology(UOIT)as a foundation Professor of Ecotoxicology in July, 2003andwas awarded UOIT’s first Tier 1 Canada Research Chair in Aquatic Toxicologyin June, 2004 (renewed in 2011).Dr Holdway has more than 346publications and professional works including 128refereed papers and reports and 186conference abstracts investigating the impacts of contaminants on aquatic organisms and has supervised 13 MSc and 11PhD students to completion. His expertise is in aquatic toxicology and marine biology with particular interest in fish reproduction, endocrine disruptors and biomarkers.

Dr. Elena Jiménez is an Associate Professor in the Physical Chemistry Department at the University of Castilla-La Mancha (Ciudad Real, Spain). Her research has been focused on the atmospheric chemistry and photochemistry of oxygenated organic compounds and the chemistry of the interstellar medium. From 2002 to 2003, she worked as a Research Associate at the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) at Boulder (Colorado, USA) under the supervision of Prof. A. R. Ravishankara, co-chair of the WMO/UNEP Science Assessment Panel on Stratospheric Ozone. Her research has been published in international journals within the fields of atmospheric sciences and physical chemistry.

Tongwen Xu is a Full Professor at the University of Science and Technology of China. He received PhD in Chemical Engineering from Tianjin University in 1995. Tongwen was a postdoctoral research fellow at Nankai University during 1995-1997. He has published over 300 peer-reviewed publications, 19 invited book chapters, 50 issued Chinese patents. He acts as editor in chief of 3 international books and editorial board members for 9 international journals. He received the National Science Foundation for Distinguished Young Scholars in 2010 and selected as FRSC in 2013. Dr. Dionysios (Dion) Dionysiou is currently a Professor of Environmental Engineering and Science at the University of Cincinnati. He teaches courses and performs research in the areas of drinking water quality and treatment, advanced oxidation technologies and nanotechnologies, and physical-chemical processes for water quality control. V. Ivanov

Dr. Volodymyr Ivanov is an expert with more than 32 years of teaching and research experience in biotechnology and microbiology in the universities of Singapore, USA, South Korea, and Ukraine. His research experience includes the supervision and participation in the projects on iron biotransformations, microbial cementation and clogging, aerobic and anaerobic biotreatments of wastewater, microbiological monitoring of water quality, and soil bioremediation. Prof. Dr. Yassin obtained his Ph. D in Environmental Engineering from University of Tokyo, Japan. He is a Research Scientist at the Environmental Pollution and Climate Program, Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research (KISR), Kuwait. Before joining KISR, he worked in the Faculty of Engineering, Assiut University, Egypt, and the Wind Engineering Research Center (WERC), Tokyo Polytechnic University, Japan, and Naces Center for Mathematical Modeling, Faculty of Nuclear Science of the Czech Technical University, Czech and College for Life science, Kuwait University, Kuwait. His research interests are in the following areas: outdoor air quality modeling and assessment, numerical simulation (CFD models), physical simulation (Wind tunnel modeling) and wind engineering. He has supervised a lot of master and Ph. D students. He has several publications in peer-reviewed journals, books, and conferences.

Y.-S. Yun

Dr. Yun is Professor of Chemical Engineering and Director of Environmental Biotechnology National Research Laboratory, Chonbuk National University, South Korea. He completed his Ph.D. at Pohang University of Science and Technology (POSTECH) in Biochemical Engineering. He has nearly 20 years of experience in environmental biotechnology and biomaterials research. His research interests include biosorbents and biosorption process, fate and degradation of emerging contaminants, and bio-inspired nanomaterials synthesis. He has authored more than 150 papers and his h-index is 48 on the basis of Google Scholar. He has invented 20 patents and some of them have been transferred to private companies.
