Prof. Wang obtained BSc and MSc from Peking University and PhD in Chemical Engineering from University of Queensland, Australia. He is now a Professor at Department of Chemical Engineering, Curtin University, Australia. His research interests focus on nanomaterial synthesis and application for adsorption and catalysis, fuel and energy conversion and environmental remediation. He has published more than 300 refereed journal papers and his paper citation was over 11300 with H-index=58. He was awarded 2012 Thomson Reuters Citation & Innovation Awards in Australia. He is an editorial board member of several international journals.

S. Liu

Shaomin Liu is an ARC Future Fellow and Professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering at Curtin University. He received his PhD degree from the National University of Singapore in 2002, and then worked as a postdoctoral research fellow in Chemical Engineering at the California Institute of Technology from 2002 to 2005. From the end of 2008, he has been working in Curtin University, Australia. He is the recipient of an ARC Future Fellowship (2012-2016) and an ARC Australian Research Fellowship (2008-2012). His research interests include inorganic membranes for gas separation, membrane reactors for gas reaction, nanoporous materials, solid oxide fuel cells, bioceramics, nanoparticles for antimicrobial property and water treatment. He has published over 230 journal papers.

Ananda S Amarasekara is a professor of chemistry at Prairie View A&M University in Texas, where he has been a faculty member since 2003. He received his Ph.D. in organic chemistry from City University of New York. G. Brahmachari

Dr. Brahmachari presently holds the position of full professor of chemistry at Visva-Bharati (a Central University), India. He received Ph.D. (Organic Chemistry) in 1997 from the same University and joined his alma mater as assistant professor in 1998. He has about 18 years of experience in both teaching and research at the University level. He has supervised several PhD students so far, and produced nearly 160 scientific publications including original research papers, review articles, books and invited book chapters in the fields of natural products and green chemistry. H.X. Dai

Dr. Dai is the Head of the Department of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering in the College of Environmental and Energy Engineering at Beijing University of Technology, China. He has nearly 30 years of experience in the fundamental research of heterogeneous catalysis and photocatalysis as well as nanoporous materials synthesis. Dr. Dai obtained his Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry from Hong Kong Baptist University (2001), and was ever a postdoctoral fellow in the University of California at Berkeley and Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (2002~2003). Dr. Dai has authored or co-authored more than 200 internationally renowned journal articles (including above 10 review articles), 60 authorized patents, and 2 book chapters. S.K. De

Surya K. De obtained his Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from Jadavpur University, Kolkata (Calcutta), India. He worked at the University of Washington, (Seattle), Purdue University, (West Lafayette, Indiana), The Scripps Research Institute, and Sanford-Burnham-Prebys Medical Discovery Institute in several drug discovery programs. M.E. Domine

M. E. Domine completed his PhD at the Polytechnic University of Valencia (Spain) in 2003 under the guidance of Prof. A. Corma, and postdoctoral studies at the IRCELYON - CNRS (France, 2005- 07). In 2008, he re-joined the Instituto de Tecnología Química (UPV-CSIC) of Valencia, Spain as Scientific Researcher of CSIC. M. Florea

Mihaela Florea received her Bachelor's degree in Chemistry from the University of Bucharest in 1997 and from the same university she received the Master degree in 1999. The PhD was done under the supervision of Professor Paul Grange in the field of Catalysis at the Universite Catolique de Louvain la Neuve, Belgium and she graduated in 2003 with Suma Cum Laude. In February 2004, she joined the group of Professor Vasile Parvulescu at the Faculty of Chemistry, University of Bucharest where she began her research on heterogenous catalysis, especially on catalytic selective oxidation. She was promoted to Associate Professor in the Department of Organic Chemistry, Biochemistry and Catalysis in 2007. P.E. Hoggard (Biography
P.E. Hoggard

Patrick Hoggard received a Ph.D. from Washington State University in 1970, which was followed by postdoctoral work at the University of Frankfurt and the University of British Columbia. He is now a professor of chemistry at Santa Clara University. Most of his research career was centered on the spectroscopy and photochemistry of transition metal complexes, but for several years he has been working exclusively in photocatalysis, an interest that was augmented while a visiting scientist in the laboratories of Andrea Maldotti at the University of Ferrara and Angelo Albini at the University of Pavia. His current research is on the photocatalytic functionalization of hydrocarbons. He has more than 100 peer-reviewed publications.

Dr. Guiyuan Jiang received his B.S. and M.S. degrees in chemical engineering from China University of Petroleum, Beijing and PhD degree from the Institue of chemisty, Chinese academy of Sciences. He joined Univeristy of Petroleum, Beijing in 2006, and now he is a professor in chemical engineering. C.Z. Li

Professor Chun-Zhu Li obtained his PhD in Chemical Engineering from Imperial College London in 1993. After postdoctoral experience, he joined Monash University in 1996 where he served as a Lecturer, Senior Lecturer, Reader and Professor. Professor Li moved to Curtin University of Technology in January 2009 to be the Director of Fuels and Energy Technology Institute (initially known as Curtin Centre for Advanced Energy Science and Engineering). Professor Li has co-authored more than 300 papers in journals and conference proceedings. He has also edited a book, Advances in the Science of Victorian Brown Coal, and co-authored three chapters in the book.

He is a John Curtin Distinguished Professor. The research work he led in bioenergy/biofuels has resulted in the formation of a spin-off company Renergi Pty Ltd. He is also the Australian Director of the Australia-China Joint Research Centre for Energy and the Australia-India Joint Research Centre for Coal and Energy Technology.

Diogo M.F. Santos graduated in chemical engineering at IST (ULisboa) in 2001. He received his MSc degree in 2006 and PhD in 2009. Z. Nawaz

Dr. Zeeshan Nawaz received his Bachelor and Master degree’s with distinction in Chemical Engineering from MUET Jamshoro (2003) and UET Lahore (2006), respectively. Later he earned his Doctorate of Engineering (PhD) in Chemical Engineering & Technology in 2010 from Tsinghua University, Beijing, China. He was engaged in number of process design assignments at Chemical Process & Plant Design Center, Islamabad (2005-2011). During his PhD studies, he worked at Beijing Key Laboratory for Green Chemical Reaction Engineering & Technology (FLOTU), on catalyst design and fluidization engineering. He won many awards and scholarships in his carrier, the most recant are Best Researcher Award of Tsinghua University 2009, Young Scientist Award (Chemistry-2011) by NAYS and SABIC Technology Development Award in 2015. He is working with SABIC Technology & innovation as Staff Scientist since 2011 and involved in the high fidelity reactor modeling, reactor design (fixed and fluidized bed), catalysis synthesis and various technology development activities. He has experience with commercial olefins related technologies, like light alkane dehydrogenation, ethylene oxide, MTBE, syngas conversion technologies, feedstock upgradation, isomerization, acetylene hydrogenation, fixed bed and fluidized bed reactors, etc. Dr. Zeeshan has published more than 80 publications including research papers, book chapter, communications, reviews, conference papers, technical notes, etc. and about 30 international patents. V.I. Parvulescu

Prof. Vasile I. Parvulescu received his PhD in Catalysis in 1986 at the Polytechnic University of Bucharest (Romania). After one year stage in the Petroleum Company Vega-Ploiesti (Romania) he moved in the Institute of Inorganic Chemistry, Rare and Non-Ferrous Metals Bucharest (Romania) till 1991, when he joined the University of Bucharest, where become full professor in 1999. Meantime he received several fellowships: PECO and NATO fellows, Universite Catholique de Louvain, Belgium (1993, 1996), Alexander von Humboldt, Max Planck, Muelheim, Germany (1997). He is also invited Professor of a series of Universities: Louvain-la-Neuve (Belgium), Aachen (Germany), Lille (France), Toulouse (France), Quebec (Canada), Taywen (China), Toulouse (France), etc. He has over 30 years’ experience within the field of synthesis of catalysts, catalysts characterization, asymmetric, environmental, oxidation, plasma catalysis, etc. He authored more than 330 papers, 26 review papers and chapters, 7 books (Wiley, RSC, Elsevier, Romanian Academy), 27 patents. He was awarded with the Prize of the Romanian Academy of Sciences and „Grigore Moisil“ Award for exact sciences of the National Grand Lodge of Romania, and Proclaimed Knight of the National Order for Merits by the Romanian President. He serves as a President of the Romanian Catalytic Society and Secretary of the European Catalytic Society (2011-2015). In present he is Director of the Department of Organic Chemistry, Biochemistry and Catalysis and Director of the Research Centre of Catalysis and Catalytic Processes at University of Bucharest.

Inmaculada Rodríguez Ramos got a PhD degree in Chemistry “cum laude” from the University of Granada (Spain) in 1984. She was working in the Phys. Chem Dpt. at Cambridge University (1985-1986) and in the Inorg. Chem. Dpt. at Alicante University (1987-1988) as a post-doctoral fellow. In 1989 she joined the Institute of Catalysis and Petrochemistry (CSIC) as a Researcher, in 2006 she was appointed as Full Research Professor. Zhong-Yong Yuan is a fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry. He received his PhD degree from Nankai University in 1999. After his postdoctoral research at the Institute of Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, he joined the Laboratory of Inorganic Materials Chemistry at the University of Namur, Belgium in 2001. At the beginning of her career she was involved on the development of the design of catalysts and monolithic reactors for Selective Catalytic Reduction of NOx. F. Cesano

Federico Cesano was born in 1973 (Torino, Italy) and received his Degree in Chemistry in 1999 at the University of Torino. After two years he spent at the Italian National Research Council (2000-2002), in 2005 he completed his PhD in Material Science and Technology. John D. Chisholm received his B.S. degree in chemistry from Alma College in 1992. After two years at the Upjohn Company, he attended the University of California, Irvine where he earned a Ph.D. in organic chemistry in 2000. Jacek Młochowski was born in Warsaw, Poland, in 1937. He studied Chemistry at Wroclaw University of Technology and received PhD degree in 1967.
