Sanjay Batra

Dr. Batra obtained a doctorate (Ph.D.) in Chemistry from the Medicinal and Process Chemistry Division at Central Drug Research Institute, Lucknow. Currently Dr. Batra is working as Principal Scientist in the same department. His research interests include development of compounds for neglected diseases, chemistry associated with Morita-Baylis-Hillman adducts, and transition-metal catalyzed reactions and heterocyclic chemistry. He has published more than 150 scientific publications. Dr. Batra is a Fellow of Royal Society of Chemistry and recipient of Bronze-medal from the Chemical Research Society of India. Dr. Batra is an Associate Editor of RSC Advances, published by Royal Society of Chemistry and Editor-in-Chief for Anti-infective agents, published by Bentham Science Publishers.

Dr. Samy, obtained his master degree in Pharmacy from LM College of Pharmacy, Ahmedabad, India and doctorate (PhD) in Medicinal Chemistry from The MS University of Baroda, India. He has published more than 100 research papers and his books on the title of “Text Book of Medicinal Chemistry,” (published by Elsevier), “Pharmaceutical Chemistry of Natural Products” (published by Elsevier) and “Pharmaceutical Inorganic chemistry” (published by Pharmabook syndicate) are well appreciated in the academic community.

C. Biot

Dr. Christophe Biot is a Professor in the Unit of Structural and Functional Glycobiology at the Université de Lille 1 in France. His scientific background is characterized by a very strong thematic mobility reflecting his desire to explore the fields of chemistry, biochemistry and biophysics.

As of July 2016, he has published (h-index = 37, total citations = 3528) almost 90 original research papers in international peer-reviewed journals, around 10 review articles (in refereed journals), and 9 book chapters (textbooks and specialist books).

Prof. Hwu obtained a Ph.D. in Chemistry from Stanford University, California, USA. He is a Distinguished Chair Professor of National Tsing Hua University, Hsinchu, Taiwan and has published more than 200 scientific publications and is a named inventor of 49 international patents. Dr. Hwu is Fellows of The Academy of Sciences for the Developing World, International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry, The Royal Society of Chemistry, and Asian Federation for Medicinal Chemistry.

T. Maisch

Tim Maisch studied Biology at the Univ. of Erlangen-Nuremberg, Germany. In 1997 he received his diploma and achieved his Ph.D. with a thesis titled "Upregulation of protein expression on endothelial cells infected with human cytomegalovirus” in 2001. Since 2002, he has been working as postdoctoral fellow at the Dept. of Dermatology, University of Regensburg on photodynamic inactivation of multi-resistant bacteria. He gained his Postdoctoral Habilitation in 2009 (venia legendi). Currently he is the project leader of the Antimicrobial Photodynamic and Cold Plasma Research Unit at the Dept. of Dermatology.

R. Schaumann

PD Dr. med. habil. Schaumann, MD has finished his medical education at the University Hospitals in Frankfurt am Main and Leipzig, Germany and Vienna, Austria and at the Deutsches Beratungszentrum für Hygiene (BZH GmbH), Freiburg, Germany in Internal Medicine, in Infectious Diseases, in Medical Microbiology and Epidemiology of Infectious Diseases as well as in Hygiene and Environmental Medicine with the corresponding graduations and physicians degrees. He obtained a doctorate in Medicine as well as in Medical Microbiology (Dr. med. in Medicine as well as Dr. med. habil. and PD in Medical Microbiology). He was also working at the mentioned University Hospitals as a fellow and after his postgraduate trainings as well as a specialist at the University Hospital Leipzig, Germany. PD Dr. Schaumann is now working at the Deutsches Beratungszentrum für Hygiene and is also an outside lecture at the University Hospital Leipzig, Germany and member of different professional societies.

He has published more than 75 scientific publications including book chapters and is currently Editorial Board Member of this journal (Anti-Infective Agents, AIA), published by Bentham Science Publishers.

J.M. Brunel

Jean Michel Brunel was graduated from the School of Chemistry of Marseille (France) in 1991. He obtained his Ph.D. degree in 1994 from Université Aix Marseille in the field of asymmetric organophosphorus chemistry. In 1994, he joined the group of Pr. H. B. Kagan (Université Paris Sud) as a postdoctoral fellow working on the enantioselective catalytic oxidation of sulfides. In 1997, he joined the CNRS as Chargé de Recherche and is now working at the Centre de Recherche en Cancérologie de Marseille. His research program is focused on the development of novel classes of antimicrobial and anticancer agents.

D. Nisheeth

Professor Nisheeth C Desai, Professor Nisheeth C Desai had obtained his Ph.D degree from Bhavnagar University in 1982 in the field of Medicinal Chemistry and 33 years of teaching and research experience. Till date he has produced 40 Ph.D students and currently six students are working for their Ph.D degree and two students have completed post-doctoral research under his guidance. Till date, published more than 110 research papers in the national and international journals. Main interest he had developed in the field of synthesis of bio-active hetercyclic molecules, antimicrobial, antitubercular, anticancer screening, green chemistry and intellectual property and its management in academic institutes. Received prestigious Carrier Award for young scientist by University Grants Commission, New Delhi in 1995. I hope that this will serve your purpose.
